who's coaching our rucks currently ?

Jokes on him, we got Lynden Dunn!

I'd rather a sooking ruckman

actually I thought he was pretty spot on - youd be [censored] if someone was getting rid of you because they didn't like your opinions but told you something else.

I cant imagine buckley being very open to others opinions, esp those which might be different to his own.

the pies will never win a flag with him in charge.

as an aside, how good Is it to see other clubs becoming a rabble

I think the sooki lala treatment is just the medias spin. I see Jolly as a straight up and down sort whos just calling it as he sees it. And it does sound very much like Buckleys mo ( form all accounts )

It will be interesting if there is any truth to what he is saying about Buckley losing the respect of some of the players... is it possible that we might see the Pies start to stall and even fall out of the eight in 2014?

What's Buckley going to say? Professionally, you don't bring personality into an exit interview. Jolly's wrong. His straight shooting is absolutely off the mark.

Not defending Buckley. I agree with you, Collingwood are going backwards.

The guy [censored] canned Neale Daniher and josh Fraser publicly and now Nathan Buckley. What does that say to you? He is nothing but a spoilt little brat that didn't get things his way.

This has come back to bite him in the ass and so it should! Collingwood made the right decision and good on them. His body was absolute shot and he struggled at VFL level even getting a bath of Wayde Skipper in one game.

Best thing for him is to quietly disappear from the footballing world and focus on job searching.

Got no respect for him and never will after the way he carried on against ND and Josh Fraser.

And btw we aren't exactly out of the rabble ourselves. Collingwood aren't in any.

He's also on the Fairfax payroll. Just doing his job ,which is to be an instrument to sell newspapers. Jolls is a top fella and this news will be tomorrow's fish and chip wrapper.

If that's another suggestion for an MFC alternative strip, it's been done before.

Prince William wore it at his wedding to Kate Middleton.

I don't think Jolly was invited to tat either.

One can but hope....and how would Mr Ed cope with his lovechild failing? How long would he let him stay in the job? How could he possibly be the man to break the bad news to his boy "you are sacked"?

Ediie would resign first so someone else could do it.

Jolly has gone where it best suits him over his career and hasn't cared about who he left behind so he can't complain when someone shows him the same loyalty; can he.

I suspect the rise of Brodie Grundy last year had more to do with his departure than differing opinions with the coach.

For the record, in my professional capacity as a photographer I've photographed Buckley and, unlike many AFL footballers I've worked with, found him very approachable and easy to talk to. Confident yes but FIGJAM no.

Move on Darren.

Is there a club you haven't slagged?

Years of free booze ahead of you at three clubs if you can try to be graceful.

He also had a swipe at Daniher. I thought back then he might have been hard done by. But once you wear and black and white jumper any sympathy becomes null and void. If he can bat or bawl he would fit in well with a cricket team currently touring.

It seems Jolly isnt so Jolly afterall.

It would just be a simply gorgeous scenario wouldn't it

Unfortunately over the last couple seasons they have done very well with there recruiting/list management and I think they will up around the top half for at least the next few years to come.

Still, we can always dream of a better, happier place.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    TRAINING: Thursday 9th January 2025

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
