Nicholson to dominate.

As trivial as it sounds his hard running and speed could actually be developed into something. He has all the physical attributes of Kieran Jack. And bad skills can be conquered with time and composure.

The issue I have with Nicholson is that he's soft. It's the non negotiable.

Grimes off half back is the most obvious one.

I'd really hope for Howe and/or Watts on a wing.

If I had to predict improved performance from a midfielder I'd go with McKenzie re-affirming himself as a tackling machine and decent player.

Can I add "and become a decent kick" tm?

Mitch Clark to get a metal foot-replacement. Then, if someone (please let it be Michael Hurley or Hayden Ballantyne) tries to smother his kick, he can knock their teeth out.

That's all I want.

Well it is outrageous predictions. But my serious prediction is that he can be a very good player without kicking well.

In all seriousness, I want to see Trengove have a season that makes Dusty Martin look like a plodder.

If Roos can't get him going I'll be amazed and dismayed.

Mitch Clark to play every game and kick 65 goals.

Jimmy Toumpas to have a break out season after a full preaseason and thus shutting up all the ollie wines talk.

Trenners to get some pace back and prove his worth.

1. Jamar to string more than 5 games together.

2. Magner to play purely as a ball winning midfielder

3. Nifty Nev to make the back pocket his own.

Why is everyone's outrageous predictions that Magner will become a part of our 22. How does that make us better? The guys a VFL player. Slow, average skills, why not hope one of our quick and skillful players can find the pill.

Who will Roos turn from spud to delicious curly fries next year ?

I'll kick off.

Pederson to become our Ted Richards.

Does that mean we are going to trade him to Sydney?

We should be so lucky

I would pay them to take him

Could be any of Strauss, Taggert, Jetta, Blease, Tappy, Gawn, Evans or Watts - they are our under performing players (Viney, Hogan etc are already good)

Strauss is my pick - has a great kick, great pace and size. He has dominated VFL all year and finally gets a couple AFL games where he gets injured arrrrr (showed something tho).

He is still young and I think he just needs to be put in the side from round 1 - round 5 and we will have a rebounding back pocket who can play on mediums or quick smalls (e.g.Betts).

Loved him running out of the backline and using his great kicking in the couple games at the end of the year (means Watts can play forward or on the wing) .

Dennis Cometti to develop a stutter after having to call out "Jones to Jones to Jones" repeatedly for an entire season.

I think you will find every single player will improve under Roos! Therefore our breakout season for all of them will see us in the 8! Now there is a prediction!

Nicholson to have a kicking efficiency of above 80%.

That's outrageous alright!!

Nothing outrageous about it, but I predict the individual and group performance will improve around the ground, creating entries with more frequency and greater quality for a forward line fetauring Watts, Howe, Hogan, Dawes, Fitzy and Clark to give us one of the best inside-50-to-goal ratios in the comp, with about 180 goals between them for the year.

McKenzie to win mark of the year (standing on Howe's shoulders)

Dunn to win 'Jumper punch of the year'

Trengove to win the Grand Final sprint.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
