I think you need to look at the following part of the AFL statement in relation to our club as well.

As far as we are aware, Melbourne FC did not have a systematic program of supplement use in action.

There is no indication that player welfare has ever been risked.

We have records of exactly what the players were given.

The only question is on point 2. Were any of the items given to the players illegal? The club issued a statement some time ago saying that they have reviewed the medical practices and determined that nothing has been given to the players that they are not allowed to have and that the injections mentioned were vitamin cocktails. Given that they weren't stupid enough to misplace the records of these treatments we should be perfectly safe assuming they are being truthful.

The second language of the AFL is lying RM.

I hope you are correct.

But after so many on here told me we had nothing to answer in the Tanking saga I will wait and see.

Honestly if people associated with the past regime told me it was night time I would go out side and check.

I've forgotten what we were supposed to have done. Did Jack Trengove get some cream rubbed on his foot or something?

That was it, I think Dunn was involved as well

Let's agree to lose early draft picks ( Luke Molan anyone ? ).....we might even fluke a Hirdy at pick 79 !

If they take the picks it's the end of us. Seriously. We are that close to the wall, if we don't improve by the new TV rights deal (when Andy D will have left) then we could very well be wound up.

I think you may be bang on there Striker. Andy D is a greater ally than many realise. It seems Gillon is more inclined to believe there are too many clubs in Melbourne. that school of thought combined with new tv rights negotiations is a threat to any side that isnt competitive.

The AFL is a signatory to the WADA Code. It was always going to happen that ASADA was going to investigate the allegations about Dr Bate's involvement with Dank and whether any of our players were administered prohibited substances. The facts appear to be vastly different to the Essendon situation and for our sake and that of the players involved it's hoped they didn't. On what I've heard and read we should be in the clear but otherwise, we have to accept it in the spirit of Tyson Gay and not the shonks at Essendon who are still carrying on about not being drug cheats.

For the betterment of sport and its competitors, the WADA code adopts a regime of strict liability and that's how it should be.

Our players were injected by Dank. Lots to play our here.

Surely if this did happen it was not a performance enhancing injection!

Because no one knows who got what or anything for that matter at the bombers and unless Dank said I gave xyz to abc how can you charge someone.

So far dank has volunteered nothing.

At the MFC the dr has treated one or two players who are known.

Fairly easy to identify the recipient.

If the dr fesses up Trengove is gone

All true, but I thought the 'Why?" referred to your second line - "Charming way to treat your Captain of all people."

So why?

I recall Dunn being mentioned on the "730 Report" in the context that other players had reported good results and he wanted to get on board. There were several other players (other than Trengove) mentioned in that conversation that I cannot recall.

Link to 730 report- http://www.abc.net.au/7.30/content/2013/s3740340.htm?

DAN BATES TO STEVE DANK (male voiceover): "Lynden Dunn would like an injection on Thursday if possible (good about Dunny asking, as he is doing it because the other guys have said they feel good). Dan."

Didn't sound good at the time and doesn't sound better now.

If they take picks off us , players will leave in Droves because we have no future.

I often have a look on here, but this is the first time I've posted.

Have a read of this, it's a great article that should put some minds at ease - not Trengove's but I don't think a cream is all that bad.

What do we have to lose?

Sack the Coach.... Done.

Sack the CEO ...... Done.

Sack the Doctor .....Done

Sack the Board ...... Done

Fine the club $2M ..... AFL can afford it.

What have the players taken, apart from Trenners Beauty Cream.

Nothing with any substance has been reported.

Sorry Sue I missed the connection.

I was suggesting it is less that great that the club has put the Captain in this position

You would think that after tanking and taking drugs we might have at least won a game or 8.

I seriously doubt we could make a good job of selling water in the desert.
