The makor issue will be a under 22 yo player who takes the risk, pleads guilty to get a shortened sentence{maybe} and get his 18 months out of the road and still have a career.

As soon as one breaks rank shes all over.

They don't look like it yet Jazza, didn't they only this week ALL agree to be represented by the one lawyer, one if the ex- Bombers lawyers?

No i think they agreed essendon would PAY their legal representatives.

Until one breaks ranks.

It will only take one smart manager to tell his client"look your 22 and i can get you a contract with another club"

"you can take an 18 month holiday for an early plae and get your body in tip top shape"

"You will have at least 8 more years to earn a good dollar".

Interesting. Could be a far better choice than a 3-5 year court battle...

Who knows at this point, but they only just agreed to go it together Jazz. I do hope they splinter and shatter.

In recent weeks the AFLPA has sought and has now gained approval from every past and present player involved in the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority probe to use the same legal team for any matters concerning the investigation.

The colourful man from WA most likely, Spike would shave his head amd show his true bald before going against his club.

I hate Essendon with a passion, but for the good of the game, I hate this whole stinking episode even more.

I can't stand essendon as a club and everyone starting with Hird should fry for what they have done.

However I really feel for the players and really hope they don't go down for this. The player put their trust in the professionals at the club exactly the same as any melbourne player puts their trust in the demons coaching and medical staff.

I understand that athletes are solely responsible for what goes into their bodies but I do not agree with it. Essendon betrayed its players.

Well said, Essendon's hierarchy which precided over the program betrayed the players. For the good of sport the players must be banned if they breached the WADA code even though they were let down so badly by their club.

Hird to Dank: "Give us the good stuff we are playing Carlton this week".

They knew what they were doing. They sought an edge over the competition. The ran it like a military operation. They were 'smart' enough to get players to sign consent forms. They actively went around their club Doctor.

They are cooked.

Just read this and burst out laughing:

“The club will continue to act in the best of interest of its players and respect the integrity and confidentiality of this process,” said Paul Little.

(yeah, like we did when we were injecting them and leaking like a sieve to the Herald Sun)

Bombers legend Tim Watson, the father of club captain and 2012 Brownlow medallist Jobe Watson, said the players were “shocked” by the latest development. Shocked? Really Tim? Been asleep for the past 16 months?

Woo Hoo.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
