The Maynard incident reminds me of Mark Yeats shirtfronting an unsuspecting Dermott Brereton in the ‘89 Grand Final. Both incidents were in the opening minutes, as if planned.

It appears to me that Maynard took no evasive action that would lessen the impact of an imminent airborne collision. The AFL must give the appropriate penalty and show they have low tolerance for reckless events leading to concussion. Six weeks out would be a moderate penalty.
