help..for what? Having an opinion. Honestly you have gall.

I just saw this as I have had you on ignore and only see you tripe when others sadly quote it in a reply

You have epitomised one of mjt's ambulance chasers throughout this saga

Your reference to Mengele on this thread was appalling, your efforts to defend it embarrassing.

You would be the last person to accuse others of gall and accusing them of being a pompous trolling. Phffftt.

Im not sure what this hate is .

Do I detest the actions of the Hird camp? For sure.do I hate a club? Laughable. Would I have Essendon severely punished ? By there own doung theyve brought this upon themselves and they certainly need to be shown their error as a club and individuals need to be viewed as suitable for continuation in this sport, indeed any.

Now Daddy Hird has opened his mouth.

This mob are beyond a joke

I seriously think they...the Mess came out pumped...for a number of reasons not the least being for Fletch and North on receivibg end ( plus a little underdone ) Be surprised if the Hangar lot can keep that up for too long. Reality bus is around the corner.

Don't worry about them, they can play football and win matches, unlike another side who can't even get their players on the ground, let alone win matches.

board meeting on wednesday to decide Hirds fate apparently.

not fussed either way - if they sack him theyll lose members and if they dont they will lose some members but will lose heaps when they realise they SHOULD have sacked him in feb 2012

A lot may happen this week.

It's getting personal now....

Not quite sure how he can defend a man who was responsible for a program that saw young men injected multiple times with substances not fit for human use by arguing another club president should step down because he is apparently sexist?

Aside from the fact that as far as i have seen no one has attacked her for being a woman, but simply being incorrect?

There are so many sideshows around the scandal but don't worry about Tania fronting the Essendon board. She's not employed by the club and the story's a distraction from the main game which is about what substances did the Essendon players have injected or otherwise introduced into their bodies.

From Caro.."That the AFL season's opening has been hijacked by the Hird family is beyond dispute."

I think I would dispute that. It's front and centre of her game which is the game that doesn't happen on the field.

Personally I think the opening has been hijacked by the split round, and that is not beyond dispute just my opinion.

...but back to the issue, agree with you 'Jack'. This is all a sideshow but I do wonder what the Hird's are playing at, they are not stupid people. Do they want to get sacked and a payout before the ASADA stuff hits the fan? be overseas to avoid the fallout? Who knows???

Had not hear led from Mr Hanke recently, was wondering when he was going to continue the onslaught. Big mistake by Little reappointing Brand Hird again.

Given Tania Hird went alone on 7.30 report alone it's safe to say Hanke is neither here nor there on this.

He was a low grade irritant at the best of times during this saga.

the fact that it's front and centre of the media attention would support that it's hijacked the season opening. The wonderful stories of Fletcher's durability, the outcomes of the winners and losers in round 1 have been drowned by a dramatic twist in this saga.

Caro also recognises the format of the first round being split ( and no blockbuster) have added to the dilemma. However since Feb 2012, this unprecedented issue has completely sidetracked the game.

And it's fanciful to think the motive is too avoid any ASADA fallout by being paid out early. While the Hirds may not be stupid people they have been poorly advised and are living in a bubble on their culpability.

Unfortunately it's connected given James Hirds culpability in creating and allowing unchecked a player treatment program that has lead to ASADA investigated.

If players receive infraction notices then the AFL will be duty bound to serve penalties on them and they are out of the game. However the legal battles and personal and egotistical rancour (like Hirds) will continue to flow.

There is a real opportunity here for Essendon to begin to claw back some credibility by parting ways with Hird and dismissing the notion that the AFL are bullies. They should side with the AFL and state that they have been acting in the interests of the game and the players.

Such a statement would go some way to repairing their relationship with city call and show the AFL community that they finally get it and are moving in the right direction.

Doubt it will happen though.

hope Essendon hold on a bit longer

ASADA will do the job for them, and they wont have to pay Hird a dime

Although you'd think if they sack him this week they have found a way to void his contract

Either way it is OBVIOUS Hird is trying to get sacked to and paid out before he gets smashed by ASADA

That is my reading of the situation too.

We are witnessing an organised, planned distraction. These people are not fools, they are dishonest narcissistic self righteous cheats. Make no mistake they are focused on getting the best outcome for the Hirds and they obviously don't care about anyone else. The EFC the players, AD the AFL, David Evans , Little can all go to hell so long as they get the big payout. This is true evil at work, and we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg.

I am struggling with this.

I thing you are putting 2 and 2 together and ending up with 22.

My feeling about conspiracy theories is that 99% of the time they are just screw ups.

I would usually agree with that OD but the effort has gone on too long and is too concerted.....and its coming from all those that are family or being paid by Hirdy.

    DERAILMENT by KC from Casey

It wasn’t quite a trainwreck although at times, it sure looked like one, so I’ll settle for “derailment”.  The trip to Brighton Homes Arena in Springfield outside the back of Brisbane might not exactly be the same place where Homer Simpson’s family resides but, if you listened closely to the utterances of the Casey Demons fans both at the ground or watching via livestream, you could hear lots of groaning and plenty of expressions of “D'oh!” reverberating in the background, particular

TEN YEARS AFTER by Whispering Jack

Things have changed in the more than ten years since the West Coast Eagles decimated Melbourne by 93 points on the MCG early in the 2014 season. The two sides had not met at the home of football in the interim until yesterday when Melbourne won by a comfortable 54 points to remain in contention for this year’s finals series. Back in those days, the Demons were in the midst of their Great Depression but they have since tasted premiership glory and experienced a long enough period among

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
