Theres no ulterior motive

He is there as a guest as he took on the task of restoring the most dysfunctional footy club in history, and they would love to talk to him about the things he has implemented since hes been there, the state of the club when he arrived, all the sacking he has had to do and thee search for a new board, president and coach.

Even a non MFC person would think hes a great choice as guest.

Why do it, sees himself as a great savior maybe, hope he can handle himself better than Needle or Brock..

Bit like a job interview but in public.

PJ is the applicant btw ;)

Wouldn't mind seeing Roos put pen to paper on tele.

Sheahan and Healy were carrying on about how his signature is a couple of weeks away (a couple of weeks ago).

Dreaming?

Most definitely.

WWE style contract signing where it ends with the couch being tipped over and Gerard being thrown through the set.

I think they should go with this whatever.

Commentators at half time on SEN coverage of the Sydney v Richmond game today laughed at the possibility of Roos coaching Melbourne. One thought he might be a chance at WCE if their board thinks its time for Woosha to go.

Posted

The answer to that is that he wouldn't, he simply wouldn't go on if it was going to do 1% damage to his chances on signing target #1

either there is more to this, or the coaching situation will not be bought up at all.

The coaching will be brought up as its probably the most important topic at our club at the minute.

Same on the ABC. Didn't feel great listening to it but it is the reality of being the worst team in the league and at least 5 years from winning games regularly.

Half time of the Sydney v Richmond game the commentry team were talking about the state Melbourne & Roos said 'Yeah look I don't know what's going on down there' as if to say we're a basket case. I don't think he's any chance of coaching us.

Will PJ get down on one knee?

He bloody better not......I am sick of this club bending over....If Roos doesn't want the job he can**** off.......We will have a new coach and coaching panel next year and I will continue to support them all the way....

After the last seven years the MFC folding is far from the worst thing that could happen to me.

Not sure the MFC can drive me any lower.

Asking Roosy if he doesn't want to come would be another chapter written in the big MFC book of quick fixes/cheap gimmicks. We need someone who wants to be there (for more information, see Malcolm Blight/St. Kilda).

The comparison is odious as they say in the classics. I have no doubt, if Roos commits, he will be just that............ committed.

I like your optimism and to be honest, I think Paul Roos is smart enough to turn down the money. A more cynical part of me says that Melbourne will just throw a heap of AFL sponsored cash at him until he says yes. I guess my bigger point is that he needs to be signing on for more than just the dough. Mal Blight signed on for mostly money and ended up burnt by the experience. I hope, in the best case scenario, Roosy re-establishes my faith in football values by coming to Melbourne because he is motivated by the challenge or, in the worst case, he says no because the challenge doesn't appeal to him (but we find a good experienced coach anyway).

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
