Davey's having a purple patch. Good to see him doing well and taking it on.

50 50 decisions have stopped going our way.

I think we won the quarter on the field but only just on the score board.

For the first time ever, I've had an absolute gutfull of Trengove. I'm a fan, but he is in struggle town.

And Dawes us having a shocker. Letting his opponent get to him.

I hate Game Day threads. They make me sad.

They are also an insight into the mindset and level of play many d'landers have played at. NFI a fair few

I just can't see us winning this.

Gawn is getting humiliated. No Garland. No sub. No good.

He was always going to tire in the second half. Humiliated is a bit strong. Leuenberger is a genuine star.

Opinions are the A*holes... Everyone has one!!

Fitz has been nowhere since the first. Surely they try him in the ruck, regardless of whatever knee twinge he has

Yes he is a star, and he is destroying Gawn.

We know Gawn has no fitness base to speak of, but he isn't giving us much in the ruck or around the ground. We had to resort to letting Watts ruck. That's pretty bad!

No way! He was literally a millimetre from suffering a knee-destroying injury. Let's not risk him on an ultimately pointless game.

Garland left ankle problem. Done for the night, not sure how bad it is yet.

What sort of near miss

maybe Sylvia as a lead up forward? We need to change this up, it hasn't been working.

viney is just a terrier.

other players who hunt the ball with the same intensity - joel selwood and garry ablett.

i'll take a cross between the two, thanks!

Garry Selwood?

With Toumpas off, Garland injured and Fitz struggling, and are serially down on rotations and don't expect to win.

I hoe we can keep it less than 20, a respectable result.

Nb Byrnes has been poor tonight, he has fumbled at times when clean possession probable would have resulted in shots at goal.

Dawes you pleb.

Why are people rambling on about Trengove tackling alot? Mckenzie does the same and he was picked up as a late rookie. We didn't use a #2 draft pick on a tagger/tackler.

apparently we did

So disappointed with Dawes. He has been [censored] poor, and as a leader, we should expect more.

We are battered and bruised now, and we've given up. It's so disappointing.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
