AD just said we are going to get a substantial package in line with what we want.

The AFL will have another meeting with us to clarify a couple of things this wk. Don't know what those things are.

Package does not include a large sum of cash to chase a big name coach. Don't know about this one.

We won't find out whether we will get a pp until the last game.

Begs the ques what did we ask for?

Paul Roos playing the shy little prospective girlfriend is irritating me immensely.

I now want him to be strapped into a room and forced to watch replays of Cale Morton whipping Adam Goodes and our thrashing of the Swannies at the MCG on his worst day as coach until he cries .

Beauty. I've come up with this idea - we can purposely lose games in the last part of the season to ensure we get that PP. Everything will work out fine after that, glory and premierships will be just the beginning.

Sounds like a plan stan and the best thing is it hasn't been done before!

Oh sorry, look i think all three are on a different planet in that respect compared to Roos, but i think Williams would probably be the best of the three in terms of sponsors and members, premiership coach, took apart the great Brisbane team, very outgoing and i think will really talk the list up and get people excited

The overall coaching records are interesting. Eade goes at 55.6% in H/A games and 36.8% in finals; Williams is 56% in H/A and 47% in finals; Craig is 55.9% in H/A and 33% in finals; Roos 58% in H/A and 56.25% in finals. As a comparison, Worsfold is 54.8% in H/A and 41% in finals and Daniher with us went at 48.58% in H/A and 50% in finals.

I really worry that Eade's game obviously doesn't stack up well at the business end, nor does Craig's. Both these guys are losing preliminary final specialists.

Great stats wd.

Looking at them and eliminating Roos as a coaching candidate it looks like Williams is the choice

Only a genius would think of that...

The world is our oyster.

The reverse psychology strategy .

It's like a reality bus screaming though a herd of draft picks in reverse .

Play the kids ,play the hacks, play to lose.

No one will ever know.

Roos to essendon once Hird gets banned? Will Mark Thompson talk to us for a million a year?

Still $1.75 on sportsbet... Good odds on the others if true!

In Utah, most people would sell their house to get $1.75 on the Book of Mormon being true.

Don't reckon it'd be a good bet though.

End of thread lets all move on to other potential candidates being Eade, Williams and Craig

How about "let's not get worked up over something Damien Barrett apparently said?"

The guy is a parasite, Lyon didn't even sound convinced himself, and I wouldn't expect either to actually know the truth.

EVERYONE is speculating at this stage.

We need a decent culture so no to Thompson. You don't want me to go any further and explain it. Just let that idea go.

Adam Goodes: 26 possies and 4 goals - what a thrashing!!! Great work Cale

Bit like that myth that Brad Miller beat Barry Hall in a game once. He didn't. We're just pathetically desperate.

SCG in 2006, close win, or is my memory playing tricks?

Godfrey used to shut Goodes down to the point that Goodes went the knuckle several times

Was a game in Canberra that Morton did a number on Goodes, not the MCG Bruce/Dennis lovefest.

Maybe he can come back as our skills coach

Eade would be a fantastic coach with Craig! When Eade was at the Bulldogs he had very minimal resources, in that window of opportunity they were missing a quality forward or 2, by the time Barry Hall got to the dogs his best was well past him so it was 2010 or never for them Akermanis was phased out because of his mouth(, though they should have played him in the finals a dangerous big stage player) and Brad Johnson was struggling with injuries. Not to mention his period at Sydney they are strong teams then, when you get to Grand Finals and Preliminary Finals its really down to the players.

Williams would still be a great coach and he is probably just ahead of Eade with his 2004 premiership, but Craig I don't think will get enough runs on the board to seriously be considered for the job, he would just be better off staying at the club in a player development role!!!

it wasnt brad miller, it was ryan ferguson in his first match (pre season cup)

Yes it was Miller.

Hall kicked 2.4 and 1 OOTF, if I recall correctly, and people heaped praise on Miller. Hall was just inaccurate.
