Lynden Dunns mother sue went on radio talkback the other day and said the Melbourne heirachy should be shot.

There is definately someting going on behind the scenes that we dont know about that is upsetting the players.

How much are we going to sue him for?

Sue who?

LOL, right over his head

I thought it might be a pun on the double meaning of Sue, so it didnt go over my head at all.

Just wasnt in a joking mood, after recent debacles.

To get the topic back on track - Neeld did say last week it is an angry club at the moment - not surprised by this

I heard it on the sunday footy show and she got quite emotional. for a players mother to get to that stage and say the people upstairs need to go then something is seriously going wrong. Schwab needs to go asap! the guy is cancer to this club and every other club he has been at just ask Freo supporters!

I have been saying their has to be something going on with the playing group. I don't know what it is but there is something. For a mother of a player to get on radio and say the hierarchy should be shot confirms to me that the players aren't happy about something. Meanwhile we suffer.

She would know as much as your mum knows about your footy team.

Obviously, Lynden has had some issues in the past and communicated that to his mum as she is looking to deflect blame from the players who her son is one.

As much as we would all love to read into this - I don't think we can look past the fact that a mum is trying to defend her son and his peers.

On the one hand, I agree. She can't be totally privvy to what goes on inside the club and she, like any mum, is trying to defend her son.

However, her actions of going on radio and publicly abusing the club screams of extreme measures by a desperate person. Her son didn't even play on Saturday and she would have no interest in lying and getting her son into hot water.

It's obvious that something is not right. To lose the way we are, goes way beyond ability or lack thereof.

If Neeld got rid of all those who didn't tow the line, but kept Dunn (who is not even a good player!), then he must feel that Dunn has some valid issues. As do many of his teammates obviously.

Whoever is responsible for pissing our players right off to the point where it is impacting their performance to such extreme levels, needs to go immediately.

But apparently the club is happy to keep turning a blind eye while the rest of us are bleeding.

I'd like to tell Peggy Sue what I think should be done to her gutless son who refused to put his head over the ball in round one and instead ran past it, as usual. But I'd get banned for threatening violence.

Maybe there is something wrong with the hierarchy, but they are not on the field squibbing contests, and I'd assume they aren't giving orders for the players to do so.

not exactly groundbreaking commentary there Sue... they should be soundly beaten prior to the shooting though

148 points is not a sound beating?

But the issue here isn't Dunn. He is a terrible player and we all know that. But he didn't play on Saturday so obviously the issues apply to everyone on the list not just Dunn.

She should tell her sooky son that this is the time for MEN to stand up and lead our club, rather than grow "look at me" moustaches and make the same mistakes every week. In life, if you want to, you can blame anyone for anything, but if you look hard enough and long enough, the fault, and the solution, lie within.

The issue is that the players are clearly unhappy with the hierarchy.

Why else would a players mum come out and say they should be shot.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
