Rory Taggert - Wow

Pardon my ignorance but what does EFA stand for?

Edited For Accuracy.

You use it when you tamper with a person's quote (usually in a true but funny sort of way). If you see it check the quote against the original post for the change.

Are you sure you (OP) aren't confusing Taggert and Tynan? Taggert ain't huge by any means and I wouldn't know him if I bumped into him wearing his MFC jumper and whatever his number is was on it.

Tynan though is a fairly ripped unit.

This thread is complete rubbish.

I saw Taggert at training on Monday and was a bit disappointed with his size.

I guess some people are just easily impressed...

Agree saw him the previous week at training and commented here that while solid enough in the legs, he looked a little light on in the bicep, and upper body generally... Reasonable height for a mid though.

....but how did his compare with Kangaroos Gysberts & Daw's which have been in the news lately?

I too wouldn't be surprised if the OP is getting confused with Tynan. That lad is going to be huge.

Had a good look at Tynan yesterday> He never stopped talking to Hogan during their drills with Evans. They seem like mates already.

Josh has a good developing upperbody but has sticks for legs at this stage. Hogan oozed confidence with a slightly bow legged swagger that some might say borders on cockiness. A combination of Allen Jackovich and Ross Dillon I hope. Or a current day Jonathon Brown.

Could be really good this kid.

Guest José Mourinho

Like you with Wines and O'rourke? Or was it Watson and Pendles?

You're obviously not that sharp Steve, since they are the comparisons being made by recruiters, not me.

We'll leave it there.

That was the killer for me.

Loved it.

He walked around like he owned the grass they were training on.

I'm already looking forward to Hogan playing after a year in the system more than Viney. Hogan will be very imposing once that muscle has a bit of definition to it. Bit like Patton I guess.

Gee we're looking at having some real tough youngsters coming through.

Can't wait to get a look at Taggert...I've only heard good things.

Tynan on the other hand, like others have mentioned already, looks like he has bulked up a considerable amount since he was drafted. I think he'll be a gun, and a bargain for pick #52.

Look at the size of those arms for a 19 year old:

Ok so Rory Taggert walked past me in the shops yesterday and when I say the kid is HUGE I mean HUGE.

He is a monster, I actually never realised this, and it was the first time seeing him. Has he be living in the gym all year?

Is he going to play Mid or is that the plan?

For those who havent seen him, he is just so built like a horse.

To be honest, I havent seen him play yet has any one??

u sure it woz im

The only guy with Big arms is Chip -the rest are ok .

Big Arms gets you a player like Chris Tarrant-Mitch Clarks [censored].

What we need is Big Arses and big thighs like Ablett.

Rodan looks fit and ready .

Byrnes looks like he is unfit-must be from a failed culture .

Taggert's a real mystery, but I hope he gets some games next year. It's good to know he's big. But I reckon players look far more muscular in person or when up close. I remember seeing Jack Watts before his first game, and thought he actually looked muscular and in a really good shape. And I'm always surprised when I give Mckenzie or someone a pat after the game to see he's actually quite big.

Whilst it's positive to have great Warwick Farms and big lemon and Sarse(s), it's more important to find the pill and distribute it effectively and skillfully as well as hold tackles.

Could we please refrain from poor language in future, otherwise editing, deleting and warnings will become apparent.

Tynan is built but desperately needs about two yards of pace to really make it.

Can't wait to see Taggert in action.

I think Tynan will be a great half-back rebound defender. I think our half back flanks have heaps of depth right now and its great. If anyone ever watches Tynan's junior highlights he is a great intecepter of the ball and has the courage to hold the line well and move backwards into marking contests.

Taggart on the other hand i am a bit skeptical about, aside from his injury concerns I have heard from multiple people who have seen him play live that he can be quite sloppy at times. Not in terms of ball disposal but more in terms of how he goes about getting his possessions, similar to Sylvia in a sense.

The MFC website has Tynan at 76kg but everybody seems to be saying that he has a phsical presence. Does the MFC regularly update the data on the player profiles? I think not! It seems that they want to have record members but are not prepared to do simple things like keep their site up-to-date!

The site has been updated with new players - just not updated pictures / height / weight

They're probably waiting for everyone to be back at training before photos / height / weight etc.

Could be worse, Essendon don't even have their star recruit - Goddard - on the playing list

I think most, if not all, the club sites are run through Telstra. They don't get quickly updated stats and info, and it probably won't get updated until once all the drafts are done and lists complete.

On Taggert, I'm hoping he comes on and adds to our midfield depth, as our midfield is still awful and we need as many options as possible.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
