So long Izzy.

I'll always remember your 13 games, 39 kicks, 18 tackles and 2 goals.

They'd be freeing up salary space for Kurt then...

How much cap space would he clear for Tippet? (I know most of his wage was for his afl paid marketing role, so maybe him leaving won't free up much cap room anyway)

Mind you, Jim Stynes, Tadgh Kenneally and, more recently, Mike Pyke show that successful code swapping is possible.

Of course, we may be drawing the wrong conclusion. Media conference might be to say Folau has extended his contract.

What? to ten years? haha

Izzy is being paid outside the salary cap. A large slab of his contract is down to AFL promotion. (Same for K-Hunt.)

I dont think his heart was EVER in it.. Just enjoyed the salary while it lasted and he could be bothered.

I thought the AFL's wheels within wheels must have been working for some time. stopping him from being delisted.

I think this is it?

Great tweet doing the rounds: "Melbourne tanking inquiry claims first victim with Israel Folau quitting GWS: claims even the sight of $Scully now makes him sick."

Got them noticed in NSW, his press conf will be broadcast live all over aus now!

Yeah worth every cent. Skoda stadium packed to the rafters with delirious fans chanting for GWS whilst the NSW press hacks report Kevin Sheedy's every word to fill both back and front pages. In other news Barnaby Joyce has quit politics to take up an Arts Council grant for a street theatre project he has been working on entitled "Requiem for a Sad Clown".

Tippett off to GWS. Lock it in.

ooooooohhhhhhh! Does this mean the Karma Bus is heading in Kurt's direction :o

Posted

Can we take him in the PSD?

Given all that is happening, we wouldnt want to do that and make the AFL any more angry with us. It is there dream to get him to GWS, lets try and keep the sanctions to a minimum..... :o

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
