what a load of crock. a guy with 27 posts. zero credibility and a dodgy story mate. seeya

He heard it and a number of us saw tweets from journos... and by the way, 138 posts doesn't exactly a veteran make.

Its a strange old world, the virtual one. A place where a guy with 130 odd posts can come over all superior to a guy with (shock horror) only 27 posts and totally slag him off for posting a rumour on a site where the most ridiculous things are regularly posted (and more shock horror, often by people with huge numbers of posts) and credibilty is measured in relative number of spelling mistakes. Jeez loiuse!

And 'seeya'? Who are you - the lion king?

How quickly it all changes. I always find it interesting when one journo claims a deal is happening and then another journo from the SAME paper then claims we aren't into him at all. Classic stuff.

But does this mean his image won't be among the players on the Demonland header by tomorrow morning?

Not really a Monfries fan in the context of the MFC. Have concerns over his work ethic and mental attitude.

I agree that we need some more forward options but what we need more than anything is players that command respect. I wouldn't put him in the top 50% in the league in that regard. I'd be concerned that he'd be another not quite big enough, not quite strong enough type.

Massive lol at the herald sun. What a bunch of flogs. Hopefully someone puts them on [censored] hunting soon. Lara Bingle has more credibility than this mob. Ill wait for the MFC to announce something before I believe it.

For the record I think he would be good addition to the dees

Reigning B&F at Port is the equivalent of being the king of Dubbo.

'Developing beautifully' isn't a mid in his 2nd year getting held to a mere 3 possessions in a full 'injury free' game of AFL footy.

Numnut? Nice, is that your highbrow material?

Numnut uses one game in which the guy was injured to illustrate a point and I correctly assess his whole season's stats?

Okay, you are NumnutNo.2.

Dr Turf on SEN suggested he'd heard a rumour Melb has offered Monfries a four year contract.

I reckon he's a bit if a show pony who goes missing when the pressure is on.

Thoughts?

It's embarrassing enough just having his name up there in bold on the Demonland forum.

Please, please let this not be true.

I know this is completely off topic but during the year I herd Don was having meetings with Demon Members about where the club was heading into the future.

Did anyone on this site go to a meeting and if they did what was is about?

I am very interested in hearing about it.

Fair point. Picking out one game to make a point is pretty poor. I agree.

I guess that Dees Nutz should then thank you, because by assessing his whole season's stats, you've helped back up his argument. Excuse me for questioning whether pointing out the following makes for the best rebuttal to his argument you could have made

- in his uninterrupted season of games he had

- only 1 with over 20 possessions

- 40% of games with 13 or less possessions

- the now infamous 3 possession game

- a season average of 15.

Okay, you are NumnutNo.2.

You're funny. He he.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. Once again the club’s top goal scorer but he had a few uncharacteristic flat spots during the season and the club will be looking for much better from him in 2025. After sustaining a torn ACL in the final match of the 2023 season Jake added a bit to the attack late in the 2024 season upon his return. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The first round draft pick at #13 from twelve months ago the strongly built medium forward has had an impressive introduction to AFL football and is expected to spend more midfield moments as his career progresses. 2024 Player Reviews: #42 Daniel Turner

The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver

Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. He carried injury right through the back half of the season and was controversially involved in a potential move during the trade period that was ultimately shut down by the club.
