Dees v Eagles prediction

I will attend this game just like in April last year.

One change I expect to see is Moloney and Sylvia not kicking it out on the full countless times.

We win a few more clearances this week and spot up some good options going forward rather than ramming it long to the fowward line, we will go a lot closer that many predictions here.

Frawley will dominate Kennedy this weekend.

Eagles by 5 goals in a brutal game.

we are 5 years into a rebuild that has featured a huge amount of high draft picks.

yet all of us know for certain what is going to happen this week and we are paying 9.00 in a 2-horse race

i look forward to demonland's trademark 'blame the senior players' discussion that has been going on since 2006, with an entirely different group of senior players

Having read a few articles from the players like Grimes talking about the game-plan and Bartram itching to go it has given me some confidence in the guys this weekend.

Ha! All they do is talk, probably the main part of an MFC player contract these days.

They need to shut up and play footy, we've already seen how meaningless their words are.

Realistically, to get within 2 goals a quarter, ie 8 goals overall would be a surprising result. Sad to have to say it, but there we are.

Backs to the Wall !!! Play it wide & play it cautiously, let them come at us, to try to take it off us, then we need the player just off the ball to receive & attack.

It'll be tough over there, but I think we'll be switched early. But can we last the game out.

100+ unfortunately.

I'm looking forward to seeing our forward line in the vast spaces of Subi, which would really benefit Petterd and Howe if they play.

I wouldn't mind us getting hammered so much if we crawl off the ground absolutely exhausted, instead of rolling over when it all gets too hard.

I'm not looking at the scoreboard this week,it's all about desperation and attitude for me.

I'm hoping for a solid performance which to take into the Richmond game, & build on.

Down by 10 goals at quarter time, then losing by "only" about 100. With all the crap that has gone on this week, the club will barely have even remembered that there's a game on this weekend and we'll start the match completely asleep.

I am completely dillusional - I always believe we can win. I never imagine 10 goal losses. The worst my mind can conjure up is a spirited small loss and that my friends is why I look 102 - years of expectations shattered.

I think you are wrong Nasher it will only be 9 goals at quarter time.

Otherwise yes this has been the worst 3 weeks I can remember

I agree. Its not just the playing group that is unsettled, the coach has not been focussed either. Theres no logical argument to justify a competitive performance. The players have a huge opportunity stand for something here, lets hope they act upon it for once.

Well, I'm tipping against us in the Tipping Comp... so on that basis, I might go out and have a few dollars on us to win - and that means we should end up with a draw.

I'd just like us to be in the hunt by 3 quarter time. A big ask over there, but it'd be a great place to start.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
