Moloney, Davey, Green Gone

No Brent Moloney means that Trengove, Magner or Jones get tagged. We would not benefit from that at all. Davey is worthless as a player and Brad Green is simply not quick enough to apply any pressure or lead effectively and not tall enough to provide a realistic marking target. Joel Macdonald is also a liability in defence.

If anyone thinks these guys would have played BETTER if they were still in the leadership group, then you obviously don't recall their poor performances last year.

Then Neeld should do what voss did last year. Play the kids and the likes of Davey and Green can play the year out at Casey. Today proved that there is a long way for us to go before we can even be competative. Bloody disgraceful.

Moloney's fine, only played one poor game recently. Premature judgement. Davey's played two poor years, showed nothing today and has lost his run. Get rid of him. Green has had one bad year recently and showed nothing today. He better get on with it fast.

Someone wake me when Viney is playing.

Moloney can't handle a tag, he just doesn't work hard enough B&F or not, just not good enough over the last few years.

Davey doesn't put his body on the line when he has to which I could handle if he still had the turn of speed but he's lost that so he's a goner.

Green is border line. Probably on his last legs but I'd play him for the first half of this year to find out for sure.

Moloney is an integral part of our side and as has been stated, takes a tagger away from other mids.

You need to do more than attract a tagger and after a while the tagger won't be there anymore. Besides it's time for the others to learn how to deal with a tagger and they are not getting a good example. Brisbane get a lesson every game from Black, it is an unfair comparison I know as Black is one of the greats of the game.

Totally agree with you rjay and Moloney, though he certainly wasn't able to shake the tag today, has done in the past and shouldn't be considered expendable, one game into the season. He has enough credit up to get another crack next week.

Throw Davey into the middle. He's still slick enough to evade tacklers and his pace as an outside player is badly needed. Anyone who can carry the ball 4 or 5 steps to compose and deliver is much better than the outside mids we have now. Jones and Magner can go in and get it and Davey can run off with it.

Green seems to be unable to keep his feet after EVERY contest. Even with minimal contact he goes to ground. We are then 1 player down in the ensuing fight to gain possession. He has NO follow up from a contest.

Moloney can have a weekend beating up on VFL boys as far as I'm concerned. We have nowhere else for him to play to try and get him into the game. He's basically a follower or nothing. I'll take the latter next week. Give someone else a go.

This was the most pathetic effort that I have attended knowing the background to this game. Many changes needed as they are just weak b's.

Thrashed by a no name. Says a lot doesn't it.

Beamer loves the Demons i have spoken with him about it. But he doesn't like or understand real hard work.

Jack Watts was great in yhe first half.

Green - dropped. Sorry Brad, not acceptable today.

Davey - plays nest week. Forward pressure was good, but need to involve himself more (possession wise).

Moloney - have been saying since the Gold Coast/NAB Cup game that he has looked slow. Was prepared to forgive due to the monsoon, but ticked the same box agaisnt Collingowwd and Hawthorn, as well as the real deal today. Kills me to say it but you are not in our best 21 at the moment, and need to go to Casey. Slow, slow, SLOW.

Moloney lost me today. Hasn't fired a shot all pre season and today he couldn't care less. Disgraceful.

Have a sook.

The other 2, well it's obvious the skills + drive are no longer there. Thanks for your service, step aside.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
