"PRESIDENT Jim Stynes is calling on the red and blue army to come out in force - and wear their flashing Demon horns - for this Friday night’s clash with Carlton."

As the article says this is MFC only home Friday night game for the year, and we are encouraged to wear our demon horns

I think that i will wear them, yeah they are kinda tacky, and my Carlton mates who i am going with will have a good laugh... but who knows 35 thousand pairs of these might actually look good, and let the boys know that they have alot of support at the game

What is everyone elses opinions on this, will you bring them?

And what type crowd can we get to this game?

I reckon 50K+ hopefully pushing 55-60 (this is optimistic i know)

I said yes, Jimmy has asked and as much as I will feel like a complete dill I will at least have them on at some point.

Yeah, the club should think of more logical campaigns. Instead of spending the money on these horn, they should have just given out cheap, blood-red t-shirts for free and encouraged fans to create a "Red Sea" or something.

YeH I'm going with my Carlton wife pre planned at the start of the season not real keen to see us get smashed. As for the horns why not! Agree though could spend the money on something else the horns are a bit tacky

I will give them a go, yeah they are kinda tacky but would really like to see the G lit up and if i dont do it i guess i cant count on others to provide the impression

Really think it could be good with heaps of lights flashing in the dark surrounds

I'm going, and will take the horns.

All my friends, and I mean all of them, are dirty Carlton supporters. If we win I'm wearing those bad boys out after the game when we go out. Surely that's enough motivation for the boys to win this one :P

I'll be moving house Friday to Sunday so there will be no chance of me going this week. After going to the Dome the past couple weeks i feel like i need the rest!

Needless to say the TV will be set up around the open boxes around the house to see Olivia and Jimma perform 'Xanadu'

I'll be there for sure. Match is actually on at the same time as a concert I really wanted to see, so instead of missing one or the other I've taken Thursday & Friday off work and am flying to Adelaide on the Thursday to watch the concert there that night, then flying back to Melbourne friday afternoon to catch the footy!

My horns don't work though (don't flash) so wont be wearing them.

Sorry to be so negative Jaded but you have to have the skill level to win.

No amount of desire will cover a big difference in the relative skill level in the two teams.

With our current injury level we are not in the same league as Carlton.

Unfortunately A hiding coming up I think

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
