is there any way that we could change your pic and or name, because your pessimistic opinion on just about everything really brings down the legacy of the one and only R flower

If anything in recent times i have found RF unusually optimistic, and a forum would be boring if everyone agrees on all topics? it would just be a whole lot of arse slapping no?

Actually, everybody could disagree with everyone and the forum could still be boring, and everyone could agree and it could be very interesting. What makes footy forums interesting for me is depth of opinion and understanding, not how much everyone disagrees.

Without glancing at the previous 11 pages on here as it looks like its full of petty bickering, does anyone know:

a) If Jack Viney has been given permission to play games at Casey Scorpions this year?

B) If he may be a chance to be spotted going through his paces at our first training session in ten days time?

Thanks

In one of Jack Viney's interviews he said he was looking forward to playing for Casey next year and to train with the MFC players, but I do not know if we have sought or received permission for him to play for Casey yet.

I am not sure on what basis the AFL can determine who plays in the VFL.

My mate is playing for Oakleigh this season and is training with Viney. I will keep you all informed into his progress, running drills, body size etc.

What i do know is that the squad is doing a lot of running atm as would be expected as they only started last week. Sprinting up hills 40-60 m then 2 min breaks are the hardest from what he says and Viney is at the front every time. I'm liking the size of it already!!

He was at the 1st day of pre season a few weeks back and looked to be keeping up In all the running drills he took part In. He may of also of grown a bit because he and Nathan Jones were standing along side each other and they looked exactly the same height to me. What's Jones's height? 179-180?

From that short clip, it looks like he has all of his old man's hardness and determination, but with much neater disposal.

My only skeptical comment would be his pace at around the 1.00 mark of the video, before he slots the goal. He could easily just be strolling in but the other kid was bearing down on him like a freight train.

Might just be picky?

Or he was steadying for the kick and had good awareness....

Don't want to be the "Devils Advocate".

But that was against boys. I'm just grateful he will get a full season of VFL under his belt before he plays in 2013.

Because with the reputation that will preceed him in that 1st game he plays, he will be hammered like there is no tomorrow.

Typically "Welcome to the Big Time Jack"

I'm still looking forward to it and what he dishes back. It''ll be worth going a long way to see.

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res
