You want it to be a repeat of the bears do you??? These clubs need to be successful from the get go to attract a following..... AFL have learnt from the bad news bears..... They will not let this fail. Expansion is good for the game across all levels

If you boycott Melbourne vs gc games in Melbourne you are just hurting your own club

No way mate...i see where you are coming from, But's it's the wrong way to go about it. These 2 new Teams who are plastic and Soulless yes, but they represent 16 points to us each year.

Whenever these Bastard Clubs come to Melbourne to play the MFC i want them to feel cold & intimidated, for that to happen we need all the supporters there in full voice.

That's the best way to kill them off. B)

They're trying to grow the game in the face of other sports growing,,, Soccer.

So they've brought in 2 New teams, one in NSW & one in Qld, whats wrong with that?

I don't think we have anything to be afraid of with 2 new teams.

Is this thread serious??!?

Wow.

So... your solution is to penalise your own team by not showing up to games..?

I, Chook, do solemnly swear to never attend a Gold Coast Suns or Greater Western Giants home game.

Considering I'd have to travel at least 900 km to do so, that's not much of a statement, though.

I have no problem with these new 'plastic clubs.'

The fact is - we should have two clubs in the heathen states, the AFL is in a fantastic position to push into there, and the alternative to these 'plastic clubs' is the relocation of the established ones the OP loves so much.

It is such a no-brainer that I really get tired of this crap. I have moved recently to Canberra and this place is ripe for the effing picking all the way up to Campbelltown. Rugby League is a little kid playing with his .... and Union is [censored] boring.

A new contender for most idiotic thread of year...got my vote

After the sarcatic meter is introduced by the Admin, can we look at a spellcheck function or alternatively sack the Education Minister?

I will be going to any game MFC are playing in SIMPLE. People seem to forget that all of the clubs agreed and signed off on these conditions including Melbourne.

You're not getting much support around here tatu, and you won't get any from me. Given the $s that are being poured into these Clubs, I hope like hell that they do succeed, and are able to stand on their own feet, without being propped up by the AFL, in a short space of time. Unfortunately, I think this is highly unlikely.

No. Rhino's play on sarcatic (sarcastic) was in response to the OP's use of platic (plastic).

A prize for you Maurie. You are the mart one. Hang on my esses have gone again!!

HaHaHa! The Puns and pathos are rocking out now. I must say the OP is beautifully crafted though!

Boycotts are rarely effective and often hurt the people they were intended to help in the first place.

This is a prime example.

Mart are

Why anyone would want to boycott an MFC match is just beyond my comprehension.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
