  1. Wow. Lets trade a pack marking kid who kicks 28 goals in his debut year of AFL footy. AND pick 6 for a pick 1 messiah. Whilst there lets take a washed up undersized forward who has shown a lack of work rate. I have now heard everything.

  3. Can’t believe the crazy talk re JVR.

  4. Does anyone expect him to not even listen? Of course you need to hear what they have to say. I'm sure it captured his heart and mind. Known as a really genuine guy, he has told the coach and his team mates he's staying.

  5. I'm surprised no one has mentioned trading Petracca yet. We seem to have considered trading everyone else this week.

  6. We can't trade Petty without securing a key forward replacement to replace him from Round 1 2024. We're in the premiership window and we need to win games now. That is more important than selling Petty high. And the deal offered by Crows does not come close to selling Petty high.

  7. Imagine we traded JVR and then Petty asked to go. You and me could be in the key forward slots.

  8. JVR and Petts should be our twin tall combo moving forward and I'd be looking to pay them whatever it takes within our means to keep it that way.

  9. Yeah I'm utterly perplexed by the proposal that some on here are willing to trade a first year key forward who's kicked nearly 30 goals in his debut year. The kid is going to be one of thr power forwards of the competition in years to come. Our key talls is dire and we want to trade away for further draft capital? Yikes..

  11. How about you put your personal gripes with Deespencer on hold for a while and stop using Tom as collateral damage in your petty feud. We get you don’t like Tom as a player, for most of us you only need to say it once. Welcome Tom, as a Demon you have our support (other than a few posters who don’t understand the concept of support) and best wishes and I wish you great success while you are with us.

  12. A friend ran into Hibbo at the Frankston Powerhouse Fun Day this morning. She was very happy to see him in his team colours. ❤️💙 He was there with his best mate, Melksy. 🥹

  13. If Petty requests a trade, I wonder if Walker will come out and have a go at him for “chasing money instead of success.”

  14. I'll confess that I haven't seen much of Fullarton, but criticism of his selection is premature. Grundy and Jackson combined for 21 goals in 39 games over the past 2 years as ruck/forwards for us. That's pathetic. We know that Max is at his best when he spends a majority of his playing time in the ruck. If Fullarton can pinch hit in the ruck and contribute 15-20 goals as a forward, then it's a win for us. And I'm sure JVR's goal output will improve without the ruck duties. I can't see anything negative with this trade. If it doesn't work, we are no worse off.

  15. So as soon as another club shows interest in one of our players who is showing abit of form we should trade 'em. Got it 👌 All these media parasites who think they're club list managers. Fork 'em all.

  16. Yeah I'm not against this. Fresh start in a new environment could rejuvenate him. Trust me, ask yourself, who you would you have rather in our finals this year playing up forward? Tmac or Darling..? I know who'd i rather..

  21. As a WA player with an apparently young family, he is staying and getting his money from the Eagles. This is a salary dump being added to the already high price for 1, but the player imo will refuse to be part of it and why should he, when he can stay home and be paid a fortune for the next 2 years.

  22. We have been patient with JVR, really taken the time to develop him... ... He plays a solid 28 goal debut year, and there's the possibility we trade him for a MAYBE (midfield) star and a KPF who kicked LESS goals this year than a kid on debut???? JVR will increase his output next year. Hell, we may even start to kick to leading forwards in 2024. Lower the eyes etc. Could be 40-50 goals if we don't keep bombing it on his head. Silly trade thought. NO THANK YOU

  25. A very warm welcome, Tom Fullarton, to MFC ☺️ With summer just around the corner, I’m sure you’ll feel right at home here. I’m aware of your impressive basketball background, and I can’t wait to see you in action for the Dees on the footy field. As a talented young man, I have no doubt you have a bright future ahead of you! Relative information: Tom Fullarton 24yo, 2.00m tall, 92 kg. A shooting guard. He was the captain of the Australia 2016 under-17 basketball world cup squad. Luke Jeckson 22yo, 2.00m tall, 100 kg. A center or a power forward. He was a member of the Australia 2018 under-17 basketball world cup squad. Christian Petracca 27yo, 1.86m tall, 96 kg. A small forward(?). He was a member of the Australia 2012 under-17 basketball world cup squad.

  26. Thanks mono I also promise that I will firstly thank Tom for choosing MFC as his destination club and also will encourage him to take a leaf out of Michael Hibberd’s legacy of always trying to find a way. Great size, athletic, former captain of the Australian U16 basketball team, kicked 6 goals against Bombers VFL team this year, there is a lot to like about the kid. Give it your best best shot Tom and you just might surprise a lot of people.!!!

  27. Welcome to this madhouse, Tom. You are now a Demon - you will get my full support though I have no idea myself how good a player you are. Someone in our usually spot on recruiting department thinks you are worth a list spot. That will do me at lest for now. I will remain open minded and hope others will too.

  30. Yes, I'd rather recruit this Darling

  32. How bad is the Weagles list management if he is contracted for another two years at 800k? He's done. Has been for two seasons.

  33. Trying to pick this apart.. So in other words you don't want to trade JVR....?

  34. 31 is not too old. Look at Hawkins. Tex Walker looked done but has just had a career best season at the age of 33. Let the medical team run the rule over him. If they think he has gas left in the tank and can stay fit for a couple of more seasons, then he could be a good option. absolutely depends on his body. If we think it'll hold up then go for it.

  35. Withdraw the F2 offer. Then offer F3 If they knock that back, F4 Stuff 'em

  36. I just can't see us trading a young key position player without an adequate replacement. Petty out means a backline of May, Lever and Tomlinson and a fwd line of JvR and hope that Brown or McDonald don't fall apart. Maybe fullarton. We kiss any chance of a premiership success goodbye imo, he is that important. We're only taking two picks to the draft anyway and I'm not sure pick 10 helps us get Reid. Just because Adelaide want him doesn't mean we should bow to their wishes and shoot ourselves in the foot in the process.

  39. Way I see it there are three potential outcomes for pick 1 - Stays with West Coast - Traded to North - Traded to Us. North would have to offer at least one of 2 or 3, 15 and future 1st. We will have to offer 6, 11 and future 1st. I don't see North trading picks 2 and 3, and they would be very hesitant to offer a future 1st with that still being a high probability of being a top 4 pick. I don't see Melbourne or Kangaroos adding players to the equation but could easily be wrong there. At this stage I think West Coast are favourites to keep pick 1.

  41. You don’t trade very good players who are under contract at less than their worth unless you get a massive overs. The draft is a lottery and good recruiting teams can find players without premium picks.

  43. Rhi is a very much-loved member of our Club. At last year’s B&F she was honoured with a special award for all she does at the Club, a thoroughly deserving recipient. The younger players in particular have greatly benefited from having her there. That was the first time I met her and I could instantly see why she is held in such high esteem. Wishing Rhi the very best for Sunday! ❤️💙🤞🏼

  45. Yeah I'm the same. Our midfield depth has taken a hit and right as we speak, we have no up and coming wave of midfield talent coming through considering Viney will be 30 next year, Brayshaw and Oliver's health concerns and then Petracca turning 28 next year. I wouldn't say it's an aging midfield, but we're certainly lacking fresh talent in that department.

  47. All the negative comments here are surprising. It’s not like a club could use a mid-40s pick to get an All Australian ruck man or anything. Regardless, welcome to the jungle, Tom!
