Make no mistake, that was an annihilation. Unbelievably frustrating to watch though. Moving on.21 points

Shout-out to Hunty today playing his 100th game. He's been one of my favourites outside the plethora of stars we have in our side. He always takes the game on and plays with courage and dare. Let's hope we can get the win for you today mate. Congrats!20 points

How times have changed. Last season Richmond beat St Kilda by 86 points in round 5 and were going to teach us a lesson in round 6 according to many pundits. Reviewing the replay the commentators were marvelling on Richmond’s power in the first 15 minutes of that game and saying we were playing a team on an other level above us. That game was one of my favourite replays to watch.16 points

I reckon this will be a close one - for about 15 minutes. It's pretty good to be our shoes at the moment. Two of the best defenders going around are out of our side yet we can bring in quality like Petty and Smith and still have Tommo waiting for a shot. I can't see geriatric Jack doing much damage and Lynch is a frontrunner. Without their main man Dusty they lack both fire power and muscle. Really keen to watch Dunstan in the middle and also Sparrow with extra responsibility. Hope Weid and BBB don't run into each other but I reckon Kozzie will thrive on the big stage and clean up. Dees 30+ In a moment of rare generosity I've given The Manor's domestic staff the weekend off! I even shouted them a camping site (non powered) in the hills. I imagine they've well and truly pitched their tents by now!15 points

This is a sign of how cocky I’ve become: I get annoyed when other teams try against us. Just roll over and cop it please.14 points

I thought Petty and Sparrow were terrific tonight. So much young talent on our list.14 points

It’s good to have TMac get some confidence. He has been well down for a long while and he needs to start believing that he still can perform at the top level. He has looked down on himself and letting his frustrations get the better of him. Ben Brown spent time in the VFL last year and came back a different player. This is not the end for Tmac. It’s a reset.14 points

We have three grandchildren playing at the half time game tonight (from two families). they don’t find out until they get to the ground which team they’re playing for. they’re under strict instructions if it’s the Tiges they are to throw the game14 points

That wasn’t a genuine marking attempt by Lofau. Dangerous, stupid, reportable and should be suspended.13 points

On the Deebrief podcast they mentioned one of their mates was at a business lunch with Kate Roffey and he told her he was a Melbourne supporter. Apparently during the discussion he made a comment along the lines of "it's great but still waiting for it to fall apart" - she looked him in the eye and said "we are not that club anymore." What a load of crap. We are 3 points down despite kicking 3.12. Yes, our goal kicking is putrid but on the balance of play we're a 6-goal better team. Message at half-time is keep playing the way we are but just choose better options in the Forward 50 and kick straight! I'd be amazed if Richmond can keep this tackling pressure up but if they can they probably deserve to win 😞10 points

2016, I came to Australia in 2015. Like the colours and the fact that my hometowns soccer team back in Mexico are called Red Devils, I guess it was meant to be. No regrets at all in choosing the Mighty Demons!9 points

I’m so excited about tonight’s game. My favourite game of the year ( finals not counted). It’s my first live game this year. Not living in Melbourne now, I have come to town for the weekend, saw a show last night, been to the LUME exhibition this morning and about to have a high tea with my daughter. A great win tonight will be the icing on the cake for me. Go Dees ❤️💙9 points

Looking forward to seeing Dunstan, Smith and BBB in action tonight for similar, but different reasons. Great to see Dunstan getting some reward for effort and faith in himself and the MFC for making the move across. Having someone who would probably fit into the best 22 at most other clubs in the league as depth is an outright luxury, but if they don't get opportunities, it would be easy for the motivation and form to drop off and frustrations to breed discontentment. I'm sure he'll have a red hot crack and is recognised for the effort he brings as in our team it isn't about people being superstars in every game. I thought Smith was showing some really good signs down back before he lost his spot in the side (ironically to health and safety protocols if I remember correctly). I see it as super important for the long term sustained sucess of the team that we continue to develop key defensive backline players. This time Smith is comming into a back 6 that looks considerably more settled than in the early rounds when he last played, with Harry Petty providing a great second anchor from day dot last week. The speed and marking strengths that Smith has started to show are a real X factor that could really help to shore up our defense in a post Hibbo, post May era that will inevitably come at some point and the more Smith plays, in my mind, the more assured he has looked with his reading of the play and positioning of the ball. I'm also convinced he has shored up his disposal which was pretty shaky (probably lack of confidence) in his early games for the club. With BBB I'm really looking forward to seeing him pickup where he started the season full of form and confidence. His season has cruelly interrupted by COVID and clumsy indiscretion, but I reckon he'll be chomping at the bit to get amongst it tonight. Will also be interesting to see how the Brown/Weid/Fritsch dynamic works.9 points

Goody, in my opinion, has always been an underrated coach - even by dees fans. That of course changed with a premiership, but I still think he has skills that get overlooked. We all know the players love him, but I don't think he gets the credit he deserves for his emotional intelligence and how this informs how he helps individual players to improve. Some players would respond to being fired up, and no doubt Goody would pull that rein when needed. But Weed seems to be the sort of person who puts heaps of pressure on himself, so doesn't need more. He plays his best footy when he is relaxed. And I suspect his least best when he is on edge. Goody will be telling weed the exact opposite of fire up or else, because it won't get the best out of him. He'll be saying just do what you did last week - compete, second efforts and gut run. Don't worry about anything else. The goals and marks will take care of themselves.9 points

They threw everything they had at us in the first 15 minutes of last year's game. We absorbed it all then ran away from them. It felt like a passing of the torch. As long as Jake Bowey stays in the team we can't lose! Go Dees8 points

Thanks Nurse WWW, I will do just that, thank you for your concern and advice!!! But, after 5 PM then, the water may be diluted with an all in one, clinically proven mouth cleanser, palate reconditioner and throat relaxer exiler.... In other words, it will be all ahead full with some GLUG GLUGS!!😇8 points

Is there a more predictable and useless throway like than "due for a loss"? It's the worst saying. Based on our form and Richmond's form, we're not due for anything but another win. And that's all you can go by.7 points
