  1. ‘Better own up to protect his team mates.’ What exactly is he owning up to? For about the tenth time, the woman hasn’t provided a statement or assisted police since her first contact. He doesn’t have to ‘clear’ himself at all. Why does he have to suck up the distaste of the allegation? One of the poorer posts I’ve read on here.

  3. The complainant hasn't made a statement as per Vicpol release. I like everybody else on Demonland is in the dark on a lot of the details. The female involved may have not even reported it, I have seen it happen before when what is referred to as the early complainant makes the report. IMO it's best for all involved to just let it run its course

  4. JHC, if he’s innocent he doesn’t have to do anything, you have to be proven guilty, not prove your innocence. Where do you get your knowledge of the law from? How can you clear yourself and why should you have to, if you’ve not been charged with any offence?

  7. That's the thing about the big G1 races ... the best of the best are often in the finish and today was no different. Betting away from the best horses is high risk so they have to be included and respected. I couldn't find the form for the 2nd horse though ... I suppose all these top quality thoroughbreds have all got a good run in them though. None of my outsiders threatened but that's racing.

  8. We should play off the stereotype, get Range Rover and Mt Buller or Auski as sponsors. May as well, at least we have an opportunity, not like Collingwood will get Centrelink as a sponsor or Richmond the Australian Dental Association.

  10. It does so regularly during the season on footy matters, so why not now (devil's advocate). So, even unsubstantiated charges, ie no conviction, should result in sacking?? Dangerous grounds there in terms of unfair / illegal dismissal, besmirching character etc.

  12. Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere on here or if it warrants a seperate thread, but MFC is due to unveil a new major sponsor most likely in mid-January. Haven't heard any precise details regarding $ value or deal term as yet, but I have seen a mock up of the jumper as the front-of-jumper logo is being refined for best visibility over the red and blue chest area. Anyway, MFC and the sponsor will announce in due course, however I think you'll be seeing a lot of MFC players getting around town in luxury Japanese vehicles from next year.

  14. Glad Kitasan Black won, i thought it might. Its a great idea i reckon to get the punters to vote for horses to run in a big race, rather than the big stables dictating everything. Throws some variety in and allows more fan involvement.....it might even increase the gate takings for em. Well done on the Tri, always good to get one no matter how much they pay. You ended the year on a good note. Lets regroup for the Perth Cup. Take care and merry Xmas to all.

  15. It may not be an overly big field but it could be a good betting race (Perth Cup) ... a few horses have been saved for the race whilst Pounamu & Material Man have been raced keenly in the lead up. 'Trap For Fools' was scratched from Saturday's 2100m G2 race to save it for the Perth Cup and those aforementioned 3 horses will probably be favoured. Royal Star & Dark Alert next in line? Have a great Christmas and safe New year to all.

  16. ......and that's how it's done. Love your work Macca, nice dividend, I see the two placegetters added some value. Lol, I might give the Summer Cup a miss and look forward to your thoughts for the Perth Cup.

  17. Got the Tri in the last in Japan so ended up being a good day - the good old Christmas Cup! The first 3 were my 3 top fancies but I'll take 33% of that dividend any day of the week. So what have we got now? The Summer Cup at Randwick on Boxing Day? ha ha

  18. I got called into work for a few hours but made it just in time to watch it at the TAB. I didn't have a flutter but what a sight seing a champ lead and then kick at the final bend whilst others are under pressure trying to catch the leader. 100,000 packed that racecourse today and it was pretty loud.

  19. Kitasan Black led from start to finish - won by a length or so. Cheval Grand ran 3rd whilst an outsider (Queen's Ring) ran 2nd. The other top fancy (Suave Richard) ran 4th. The winner was impressive - just too good. Popular win too - it's a real fan favourite.

  20. There's fear on a footy field, unless you're a little abnormal or a liar. Viney instills fear into the opposition due to his strength and ballistic approach to the footy. Viney has already hurt Ablett in a round 1 game. Ablett would be unusual if Viney didn't make him nervous. Ablett is an old man and when you're old in footy terms you like pain and injury even less. Dangerfield is the key. We have a point to prove and will be physically stronger in 2018. We'll be up to our necks in round 1. But either way, it's just one game and 4 points. Injury, as usual, will be key for us in 2018.

  23. so you want to play hypotheticals about "some truth", "probable", "in real trouble"? life is not always neat, fair, or just in all situations to all concerned let the process play out and don't torture yourself over something you know next to nothing about, and have no control over this issue was (reportedly) raised nearly 3 months ago and as far as we know nothing has happened since

  24. Pity is that we have to play them in Round 1. By half way through the season Ablett won't be there with some sort of excuse, and Selwood played the latter half of last season like he had lead boots.

  25. Settled on 3 horses to win ... Kitasan Black, Cheval Grand and for a bit of real value Satono Chronicle in today's big race from Japan (The Arima Kinen) Also reckon Suave Richard, Bless Journey & Mikki Queen could all run on and feature ... but it's a wide-open betting race apart from the top 3 in the betting. The race is on at 5.25pm AEDT.

  26. Have often wondered what Bellamy would be like coaching AFL. Personally i think he would pick it up quickly. He is just a winner. I don’t think a Commando Camp deciphers between codes, it just pushes people to almost beyond their limits and goes outside the comfort zones of what we all know. The year the Storm were stripped of points, they still made the finals with games won. That is all about strong minds...regardless of body shape

  35. agree with the stop start. but they do fill the stadiums. which is not surprising for cities the size of melbourne with only 1 team and 8 home games. most fans i met try to get to 1 game a season and they make a big day of it, otherwise the sports bars do well

  45. Well fellow illuminati, I'm sure you will all agree there is nothing like some intellectual stimulation while slurping down the Saturday morning chocolate filled maple syrup bathed and bacon wrapped croissants. May I refer you to today's Age and an article titled - "Men- only day spas the new gentleman's club". The article focusses on a New York clinic that specialises in various medical and beauty treatments for blokes - no sheilas allowed. "Non invasive penile enlargement" is available for a mere $6000 but there is a catch - it only lasts 2 years. In what I thought was an interesting juxtaposition, "anal tightening procedures" are also on the menu. There is a "laser treatment" option for this.
