The scary thing is that this is no where near the final product.

Guys like Langford, Lindsay, Tholstrup. Windsor and L.Pickett are still finding their feet at this level.

The ceiling is still unknown, and that is super exciting.

And a couple of first round picks yet to play a game

I dont want to be Debbie Downer, but jeez that bloke is a dead set plonker.

Always seems to crucify, but that might be confirmation bias

But my big issue with him is its like he always wants to impose himself on the game.

Concur, and you can black book No.25 Mr Nathan

Media refusing to give us credit still what will it take before we get taken seriously, saying it’s due to gc having an off game not because we made them play 4qtrs

Apparently just a hiccup for GC and they will be back to their best next week. Is it because none of the media gave us any chance and now they all look stupid.

They’re tough, these Demons. I’ll say it again. There’s a touch of John Northey in this team. How farkun good was that.

Great comment! 😁

To be fair I thought Hardwick spoke well in his post game press conference. Full of praise for us and offered no excuses citing his mids were soundly beaten.

Ok we have recruited very well and the young guys are inspiring the older guys.

But it’s the coach!!

A very smart man and the boys absolutely love him!

I would have preferred Buckley,

I just love people spurting drink on their screens.

Petracca seeing us play attacking football with dare and run is a bit like the meme about your high school upgrading everything after you've left school.

Absolutely spewing I've been unable to attend the last 2 games.

But just love what we are doing & may the ride continue

Yeah me as well!☠️

Okay, @WheeloRatings and any other stats people or someone who follows SirSwampThing, what is the longest streak for having 20+ disposals and 20+ hitouts.

'Who is the greatest ruckman ever' is going to replace 'what city are you in' and 'what year is it' in the paramedic head injury checklist questions.

Effort, intensity, buy in and players showing they are playing with enjoyment.

I’m feeling 15 again loving this ride like 1987

Thought Laurie did a few nice things for his first full game at AFL in nearly 2 years. Missed a couple targets like many did but wouldn't be opposed to him getting a few more games.

Petty shifted forward a few times which says to me a key defender probably makes way for a Fritsch or Kentfield/Jeffo

There’s just so many positives to come out of that win. I think it’s our best win since 21.

Harry Sharpe is a player now, Tom Sparrow has become the player we all thought he was going to be after the GF. Windsor is really hitting form now too and looks like he belongs in the middle.

Make that 191 points. Yes, I was there in 1979. No, I still haven't got over our 190 point drubbing by Fitzroy. Fitzroy FFS!

Ha remember it well incredibly beat the bombers following week. So many drubbings make dats like today special

Our forward line is so enjoyable to watch. After 4 years of predicability and being so easy to defend, I just love seeing the opposition panic with our quick entries and then love the opposition finger pointing afterwards.

I thought this week was a litmus test as GC play a style that can undo the way we play. But we stood up so well and they were the ones under pressure.

I’ll be at gather round. We owe Essendon big time.

I am very excited of having Bowey back. Can you imagine our rebound game?

The Tom Sparrow haters have been very quiet these past two weeks. Hope they are becoming extinct

Most of us were down on him because he never took the next step that we all thought he could and tbh he has in the last two weeks. He has been fantastic and what I thought he was capable of but never delivered.

Here’s to this being the standard game for him!

They will surely come very flat after the destruction that the Bulldogs will do on them tonight.

Let them, I'm happy for us to go under the radar. We're playing good footy, that's all that matters.

Watched Dimma's post match and he was quite genuine. Definitely gave Melbourne a lot of credit.

It may be premature given how early he is into his career, but I hope we don't get caught up the Jed Walter bargaining war at the end of the year...not convinced

Shout out to all the Dees fans at the G today. Watching from the UK I could hear how loud and proud you all were, even the commentators were saying the level of noise was amazing. Particularly some of the dodgy frees/non-frees by the umps, Ben King being HTB cold but they called play on. You guys made sure they knew it was a wrong call!

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
