POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Gold Coast
After the game, Max gave insight into the game plan from King, where players are allowed to take any option available to them and won’t get chastised for it. Even if the instruction is to slow the game down, players have reign to take it on if they see a better option and close the game Now, if you wanna know how impressive this is, king has never worked under a coach before with these instructions implemented. This is a brand of football He developed himself and worked on to present to the board at his interview last year. He blew them away and part of the plan was to turn Koz into a full-time midfielder that can impact the game with his kicking rather than goals. King wasn’t the favorite into the interviews, but he absolutely blew the board away with everything on and off the field

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Addiction is a disease. Clarry isn't a bad guy - he's lost his way. It's a sad reality

Very telling he was asked and another former player wasn't.

Why not send the message to Sparrow

PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Carlton
“Sending a message” is only really impactful when dropping the guy that deserves to be dropped. It has an opposite effect when perceived as un unfair. Rivers was far from our worst last week. Another case of training all preseason in the midfield, then asked to play defense and doing a decent job of it. If you wanted to send a message, Sparrow and Salem were there for the taking. In fact the point that Sparrow still is in the side probably is one of the reasons why so many standards have dropped

Dropping Rivers is a [censored] astonishing decisions that really makes me question what the coaches are doing

Can confirm the Blues aren't looking forward to facing him either.

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
Genuinely true - around 7 were bad on matchday and 5 were over it but hadn't trained well

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
No, only one way to build a tank. Look at guys like Richards who started at half back and made the transition. He already has the advantage of seeing the defensive side of the game. HIs 2024 in the middle was very decent.

Also worth nothing the flu tore through the club last week and still impacted us on the weekend. More important how we respond against Carlton
