Sorry to seem sexist, but if they are giving cars to female players, the male players are probably getting jumbo jets.

Or farms.

If Gold Coast are the nepo baby of the AFL then this current outcome would make Geelong the mistress of the AFL then right?

I for one would like to congratulate the investigation team for filling the hardest possible brief;

Actually the opposite is likely true. I have been through many ATO audits and you always give them some easy wins so that everyone leaves happy.

I'm sure Geelong have offered up some low hanging fruit so that the AFL can claim they have taken this issue seriously and lessons have been learned all round.

nothing to see here

was just a football club act

afl integrity unit just took receipt of a box of fresh wet lettuce

stand by for afl to send a textbook message

Can you imagine if this was Melbourne, Stkilda or North Melbourne? Can you imagine Caro saying the same things?? Honestly this makes me feel sick.

Kurt Tippett says hi. Crom got a huge fine, lost draft picks and in the end Tippett himself.

Dig deeper on these corrupt bastards

How many Government handouts have they had so far??

They forgot to tell the AFL about a free car for one of the girl players, how do you forget a car?

To be fair I often forget about my car, sometimes I have to check I didn't lose it behind the couch.

Given their brand... perhaps Falcons ! ๐Ÿ™„

Or you know... Those F-150 are very expensive and hard to import.

Has anyone checked if Geelong has the highest F-150 ownership per capita in the country?

I think what they meant to say is that Geelong will be just fine(d).

As always.

Reading this thread I feel like people didn't actually listen to what was actually reported? Was made pretty clear that the things that came up were pretty minor and any repurcussions Geelong face will be simarly minor. Honestly thought the revelations were incredibly underwhelming.

If you want to believe its an AFL cover-up then go for your life but I don't get how people are celebrating this as proof of Geelong's rampant cheating.

It is a cover up.

My husband is related to a Geelong player who shall remain anonymous, who earns well below league average (and is a top 20 player in the league!), but somehow owns a piece of property worth around $15mil.

Likewise I know people at Cotton On Group, and the ambassador salary they pay Smith is more than any of their big name ambassadors who have actual modeling careers.

My only real beef.... we all know it... Cats, Blues ,God knows who else does/did it.. Why the f don't we. The AFL is a corrupt organisation that wouldn't know which way is up on any given day.

M'Lord..exh A ....the MRO

Exh B.. why doesn't Coll ever travel ....I mean to Geelong or anywhere much... a cross town match is only played under sufferance..

Exh C the Home and Away season... nudge nudge , wink wink ๐Ÿ˜‰

Why not play these [censored] at their own game...???

Just cutting off our nose....

Last time we took that view, it didn't work out too well for us.

But we definitely didn't tank...

Some clubs are protected.

Knowing our luck, we'd fling our players some sponsors product and the AFL would launch an investigation into our players having freshly painted houses and we'd lose premiership points.

That's the bit that really stinks.

They're protected

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbellย with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprenticeย Will Verrallย who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.
