How did Culley go?

Jefferson is so far behind AFL level. AJ had a monster game as a forward and could have easily kicked 6 or 7 goals. He's way ahead of Jefferdon that it's now starting to become a real worry on whethwr he'llmake it or not. He genuine just lacks intensity compared to AJ who really stamped his authority with his physical presence and marking.

Bonner is way too good for this level.

Loved Kynan Browns game. Would prefer him to bloody Harry Sharp who's an absolute crab.

Kentfield is worth keeping a close eye on this new position change down in defence. He certainly looks so much more comfortable down back then forward.

Adams is also close to a debut game as is Sestan.

Mentha certainly has talent but is raw still. Reminds me so much of Toby Brdford in his first year at AFL level where he showed so much glimpses but just needed that full year of professional development.

Mitch Hardie was also very solid.

Howes only played first half. If there’s a last minute change , he’s in as a sub. Hopefully no late changes.

Was ok but didn't stand out for mine. Worked hard defensively and marked well above his shoulders. Disposal not fantastic but conditions were tough. Didn't get a stack of it either despite us dominating the game and the disposal count. Unsure if he's time is still being managed.

Thanks KC, Tarax Club and all posters what a great result for the boys with so many playing dominant games. How good was it watching the scoreboard tick over, particularly after the slow wind blown start.

i know bonner is going to get all the accolades for his leather-poisoning, but i personally thought hardie was even better - clearances and tackles

Agree with most of this. MJ is a long way off. if he had AJs intensity he'd be a star

Was beyond horrendous for St Kilda so his delisting came as no surprise.

Would be wasting a list spot if we were to take him.

He finds space. In the new gameplan he could be useful. You need quick connectors.

I'd like to see some detailed analysis of kicks/handballs to advantage but there could be something there

We only scored one goal in the first, so 20 in the ladt 3 quarters including 6 or 7 into the wind in the 3rd.

Tom Campbell set the tone with a dominant ruck performance from the get go. Followed by the Casey on ballers.

Riley Baldi returns as a much improved player. Mitch Hardie a worthy acquisition, Taj Woewodin not the most skilled or quickest but gets involved inside and out.

Bailey Laurie aside from the silly late intervention, quite a solid contributor. Jai Culley can impose himself as an extractor but really needs to work on his kicking.

Pup Brown some terrific moments but needs to add strength and polish.

JVR and AJ as keys stood up and delivered. Jack Henderson not a lot of the ball but a very smart operator.

Adams and Sestan are showing definite promise as defenders.

Do we need to stop looking at what we hope he can be and start looking at what he can be?

He's got some nice leading patterns which I never really saw from Jack Watts.

Great to see JVR play well. He struggles to find the ball at full forward at AFL level but is a good finisher.

I liked Woewodin's game also.

no, watts was an afl-level player

jefferson barely shows the ability to string consistent footy together at vfl level

The trouble is when you win like that, you have to take into the effort from the opposition, and by that score, there was not that much considering they only kicked 3.7 for the game.

When he was recruited I thought that he had the most unlikely build of anyone trying to play AFL

He’s improved a lot in that area but think Baldi has has more upside than him even tho he’s come from outside the system

Yeah we did very well and looked the goods, but they looked pretty terrible , so not really much to take from that game until we repeat that performance against more teams who are doing better than the Tigers I guess. Still, great stuff watching our boys rip it up!

It was a good win but don't get too carried away, Richmond were worse than terrible. A good game to get out of form players into some form. Difficult for Jeffo, he didn't do anything wrong but AJ and JvR just go everything.
