Melbourne should approach this game with caution. Underestimating North Melbourne not a good idea. I'm predicting a close one, and although a Demons supporter for 57 years, it could actually go either way.

We played them pre-season pretty much at full strength.

We have seen most of what they have got. Shouldn't be too many surprises

Looks like a good day weather wise.

No doubt the roof will be closed!

Where were you when Jeffo kicked 5 on 23.3.25

I was entertaining clients in a corporate box in Perth watching Freo play Sydney. Free alcohol will help

Beautiful night last night and the roof was closed. It was one big communal sauna. Had to go outside at the breaks coz it’s nice to be able to breathe unlabored. 🥵

Anyhoo that was last night. Today is a new day but yeah, the roof will still be closed 😅

We’ll be in aisle 1. Anyone with GA tickets please come and sit in aisles 2 & 3 so as to create a sea of red and blue. ❤️💙

The mighty Dees by Ricky Mentha III (39)!

Well I'm going along, I just hope it's not not like last time where we let them come back.

Of course they'll be pumped up for darlings 300th🙄

It may just mean degenerate gamblers thinking there is value where there probably isn’t.

Chances are they're about to lose.

It's a magical leopleurodon, Charlie!

You couldn't ask for a more beautiful autumnal day to watch your team play in a soulless domed facility.

North shortening a fair bit in the betting….hope that doesn’t mean more late outs for us?

Yes, who will be a late out with a fractured larynx this week I wonder?

That covers it RDN.

I’ve never liked the roof open there anyway, half the ground is in shade the other in the sun. Don’t know what’s it’s like these days with all sorts of buildings around the stadium now.

I’m surprised anyone can actually find the gates.

Woewodin as the direct replacement for Windsor won’t be the sub.

Last night showed that continual applied pressure can put any team in a winning position. No Koz, McVee, Windsor removes a lot of our carry and polish but win the contests and take your chances and we should get it done. Last week's acceptable loss filled with great effort and intent against an early premiership fancy means nothing if we don't get the W today.

I watch Norf pretty much every week with my mad Norf mate. Like us, they shot themselves in the foot last week and should have won. Their back line leaks under pressure and they have six players across the ground that are coach (their own) killers. Having said that - they have six blokes, that if let off the leash, will carve us up. We should win, but this is no walk in the (VFL) park.

I hate not not having may down there.

We need to stop the ball getting down to darling, LDU & Larky.

Hopefully our forward line can score enough to win.

Need van rooyen & fritta to actually step up & contribute today

Bill Laurie has been pulled out of the Casey match and is heading to Marvel as an emergency

I'm guessing it's Harry Sharp as sub.

Simply a must win game if we are to be considered challengers this season.

north won't be a push over but i reckon Dees by 25 points

Let's hope fritch gets more than 2 possessions in the first half - probably his average first half contribution in the past 12 months

We seem to have trouble with north. Even in 2021 it was a struggle for a while. I’m not convinced this will be our first win of the season

Feel like we've taken them too lightly over the years. Surely we won't do the same thing today.

My read on this game is that we will be too strong for North and play 4 solid quarters. I think our ability to shift up our game plan will frustrate them. They have moments when they look to be gaining moment but we will stifle them and then score when the momentum swings back. Dees by 42.

St kilda last night

West Coast currently

Getting a sinking feeling about north now

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
