He was their executive general manager of football from 2019 to this year. Moved back to Melbourne end of 23’ for family reasons. In the running for the Pies job as head of footy but wants to be a CEO ultimately.

So less than 5 years as a footy GM at a club with a proven coach, proven list management team, proven culture before he got there, no other footy administration experience, no other business executive experience aside from a year in a job they created for him when he’s bailed back to Melbourne. Hired out of a law career by his good mate Tom Harley.

I’d like to know a lot more about what he’s actually done at Sydney than being impressed purely because it’s on his resume. Unless he’s totally brilliant he can go be the Pies head of footy.

DD I am not sure I care. I have no control and the powers will select someone I can only hope they make a good choice. I know it is a very important position but I am way more interested in who plays in 2025.

I hope we haven't just started our search now.

Also hope Peter Bell ends up at the Pies (or nowhere) and NOT Melbourne

I hear that Garlick is on the nose at Freo, we might need a breath of fresh air

Huge poach there.

I will cancel my membership and my wife has declared she'll burn her gear if Hird comes to the club.

It's totally irrational for Melbourne supporters being concerned by Hird giving advice with regards to the search for a CEO.

People seem to lose their mind when it comes to football clubs.

What the actual F !!!

Why anyone would want this p.o.s.  anywhere within a bulls roar of our club beggars belief.

Oh I get it... Hrd..   renown for sage decisions !!!    F.M.D.

Whoever brought him into the equation needs a size 12 up his rear !!
