Pickett for a decade is a no brainer because he can age gracefully into a fwd pocket if he speed goes or if he can’t maintain being a midfielder. Same with CP5, the ones that may end up biting us are one dimensional mids that may be literally surplus to the requirements of a modern midfield.

If goodys tenure comes under threat towards end of next year we aren’t fighting two fronts at the same time.

Any one suggesting Kozi isn't the most vital player on our list in 2025 is still thinking in 2021.

Kosi has the x factor we didn't have before he came, can ride a bump better than many bigger blokes, has shown he can handle midfield time and of course is a game breaker.

I don't think I can remember a player who could convert the thinnest of opportunities into a goal in my life time.

With age getting behind stalwarts like Max, May and Viney to lose Kozzi would be a disaster.

When I read people suggesting he is on par with Jackson I just laugh.

But I agree that without getting ahead of ourselves we also need to wrap up younger players that have taken a massive step in 2025 - Bowey and Turner in particular. And we all know good Judd may become.

That is the complete opposite. Long contracts allow clubs to spread the money, whereas short term expensive contracts provide no flexibility. Warner is a great example at the Swans as his 2 year contract doesn’t provide them any flexibility.

I love Kossie but I hate long-term deals and would prefer we waited given Kossie is contracted for another 2 years already. I think our list management team play it too softly with the player managers.

Looking for a small guy that will chew up opp mistakes and force opp mistakes then punish on the counter.  Someone that eats crumbs off the pack for breakfast with lightning quick reflexes, a great running leap for his size (equal 9th in the National Combine) and super goal sense and finish?

At a pinch he could even play short cameo stints in the mid given a decent pre-season or two.

Is it Weightman? ... Nope!  Henry? Serong?....ummm...nah none of those.  Taylor, surely it's Taylor!...hmm close but no cigar!
