Which AFL team do you have the least love for?  Which team is it that you simply loathe, detest, abhor, despise and dislike intensely?

Who do you love to beat most of all and celebrate every loss they endure to other teams?

Which team is the spider in your glovebox, the pebble in your shoe, the grinder of your gears?

The poll is anonymous, so vent your spleen here.

I have a feeling I know which mob will get the most votes.  :D

Collingwood, since 1958!

I know they didn’t exist then, but it’s gotta be a core value of ours!

It was always the Bombers but Collingwont edged them out with their atrocious feral behaviour last year. Also any win against the Cats is so sweet.

Essendon people are the worst……and given they haven’t done anything for 20 years god help us if they win a final.
Long may the streak continue: 7140 days and counting.

PS. Geelong fans are like Americans (apologies for any Yankee Dees fans) - they’re okay on their own but a group of them is insufferable.

PPS. The Carlton fans near us were far worse than the Collingwood in our finals…..but both have claims for most hated.

This

1. Essendon. The Sheedy era, the 2000 GF, the drugs scandal and Hird's unapologetic hubris. I hope that their streak of not winning a final continues infinitum. I was there the day Whelan ironed out Hird and it is the only time in my life I have applauded a player's suffering.

2. Carlton. I grew up in the Carlton zone where they won multiple flags and we were perennial bottom 4. Their supporters are by far the most insufferable.

3. Collingwood. This is deep grained and genetic (I am 4th generation Dees) The Eddie Maguire era solidified it and it moved from legislation to constitution. Irrevocable.

Hard question. I hate lots of teams. Pies obviously, Richmond, Hawks, bombers, Carlton.

I have a special dislike for the West Coast Eagles. There's an arrogance and entitlement which really grates with me. Seen it up close during own ill-fated prelim in 2018 and won't forget it. I hope they languish for a long time.

Edit: forget to mention the cats. I thoroughly hate the Cats.

It's actually very difficult to single out one because I vehemently hate all the other original VFL teams. However, I do reserve a particularly nasty place in my bowels for Collingwood, Carlton and Essendon.

( I don't mind the Swans and the Giants )

When a decision must be made though, I just can't go past the particularly appropriately named "filth".

Collingwood. This should be the only option in the poll. They're arrogant scum and their supporters have been violent and abusive at games I've attended.

Western Bulldogs a runner up for me. Had poor experiences at some of their games too.

If ever there was a poll with a predetermined outcome it is this!

For those older than 50 it must be Collingwood.

For those around 30 to 40 it must be (until recent events) Essendon.

Geelong and Carlton are at a minimum perennial dislikes as well.

Certainly Essendon this century.

Carlton are doing their best to reclaim the crown (particularly through their supporters)

If it was the most loathed player, he would come from a different team and I think be considered for that position by at least 99% of Demonlanders.

I am to my surprise not as anti GWS as I was.  That may relate to the current make up including Toby Bedford and Hogan and not Sheedy, $cully, Phat Phil or Silvagni

Essendon.. brother in law is a bombers fan.. he is the worst loser and winner. Never hear from him when we win, sends message after message if we lose. They are all like that.

Despise all Interstate clubs, especially GWS and GC. Hated Footsgray until they gave Us the greatest pleasure of all. Thanks ya dogs. All almost altercations have been against them. Never had an issue with any other rival fans even at Victoria Park or Windy Hill. That being said i don't like either Essendon or the Hawks. Can i be the First to say i don't like the Tassie Devils, they'll be Leeches and suck as well.

Essendon. although the Pies and Cars are knocking hard on the door

considering Essendon have been rubbish for 20 years and I still have such hatred, this proves my hatred is true and pure.

Geelong!

I live here.

And now I see Joel the ducker Selwood every time I tune into a footy show.🤮 🤮

There are no wrong answers… unless you didn’t pick Collingwood or Geelong

For those over 5 that went to the semi final and heard those scumbags chanting COLLINGWOOD while Brayshaw was unconcious there is only one answer

So many to choose from....

Carlton for their arrogance;  At least Collingwood has an excuse in that their supporters have the IQ of an gnat.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Western Bulldogs

The Dogs reigned supreme in 2018 with an inaugural AFLW premiership cup and the Demons matched this feat by winning the cup as the Season 7 2022 champions.Meggs wasn’t born when the Doggies won their first VFL premiership cup against the Demons in 1954. Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Hawthorn and Melbourne. Two teams with impressive form from last week but with seasons that are travelling on different trajectories meet in Saturday’s twilight game for what could well be the most intriguing contest of the AFL’s penultimate round. Sadly, the game has been relegated to that unappealing time slot in the weekend when Melburnians are typically preoccupied with activities other than football. It falls between the morning's shopping, afternoon sport and recreation, and Saturday night fever. A time usually reserved for relatively insignificant events but this one is not a nothingburger for either of the clubs or their fans.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
