Does anyone have any info on him? Seen the info on Kalani White and that's exciting. Noah Yze seems like a late developer. Dazzle is usually good with this. Any info?

Will be turning 14 in January some time.

Still some water to go under the bridge, bur so far he's had a pretty good start to his small junior career.

A best and fairest for Cairns under 12s plus a top 3 finish in the league vote.

He's also represented QLD under 12s school boys team which is usually a good indicator that the kid can already play at a young age.

He's certainly a watch this space in years to come.

According to Jason Taylor on the Demonland Podcast Marley Davey, the son of Aaron Davey, is one future father/son that the club has their eye on. He will be moving to Melbourne from Cairns to go to school at Xavier and the Dees will start tracking him harder now. He is available to be drafted the year after Kilani White (2025 AFL Draft) which will be at the end of 2026 for the 2027 season.

  • Demonland changed the title to The Marley Davey Thread

As luck would have it, the father-son rules might be changed in 2025, potentially requiring clubs to forfeit first-round picks in lieu of point accumulation.

I did listen to the podcast and most promising thing I thought was his little snippet about Marley. That they were watching him and he is coming to school here . Was that correct anyway I was going to ask the question what is he, how is he, I know who is he,  any info really

so thanks

The AFL will change the Father/Son points system so Kalani, Noah and Marley cost us 3 first rounders.

Meanwhile pick 40 and 42 Nick Daicos will be collecting the Brownlow.

Personally I don't like school blazers but in this case I am sure it is important practice for feeling comfortable in the silly-looking All-Australian ones.

Looks a bit more solidly built than his dad. How old now? Will he be available in time for the famous 2028 premiership?

Exactly. Boys these days 🤦

And take your hands out of your pockets. Not only does it look slovenly, but it will damage your pockets.

(I'm only repeating what was said to me at around the same age more than half a century ago.)

Marley probably reads this site. Go easy with the humour... he may think it is representative of MFC supporters.

Of course they will be changed - unless there are some Geelong FS available.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
