I’m thrilled for Adem, and his appointment to Richmond will force a change to our coaching panel, which won’t necessarily be a bad thing.

While I am really happy for Yze, and I hope he does well, it somehow feels dirty that he will be at the Tigers.

Congrats Adem. Demon forever! When was the last time a MFC Assistant Coach was appointed and Senior role?

Me thinks it’s a reflection on our club too..

A big part of our '21 flag. not sure we win it without him in the ranks.

he has done time. involved with 2 flag winning clubs as assistant coach so more than worthy of this opportunity.

good chance for us to refresh our ranks and go again. i'm not convinced we need an ex senior coach. Hopefully Pert throws the net wide and tries to find a hungry up and comer to fill the role.

He’s waited a long time, and for a while this season I wondered if maybe his chance wasn’t going to come.

Thrilled for him to get it.

Congratulations Adem Yze you came to us when we needed you most and you have received your reward, good luck at the Tiges but not against us.❤️💙

Congrats to Yze well deserved..  only wish the timing was to have taken over after Goodwin… let’s see how Goodwin goes now

Wow. Congratulations to Ooze.
Immensely tough assignment given where their list is at, impending retirements of stars and the coming rise of five or six other clubs who’ve already done their re-builds. If he succeeds he’ll have to do it the hard way, from base camp. Will the Tiger Army have enough patience with an outsider? Only time will tell.

Really happy for him.  Was a blessing in disguise for him to miss the Essendon gig last year.

Hopefully, as a parting gift to the Dees, he tells Tom Lynch he’s not in his plans going forward…

one of the coaches this weekend fits that category

A favorite player, and good luck. I think he will need it, but, I don’t think your mind was fully on the 2023 job you had, in the last few minutes of the last two games.
far too important those games, just another piece of football “ luck” that did not go the demons way in those two games.
just my view!

As opposed to a fella who played 150 odd games against one of their arch enemies the bombers?

Methinks three flags with an outsider might sooth the savage Tigers

Totally agree, we need fresh eyes. Our midfield has gone backwards in the last 2 years

The Heraldsun article mentions he was our backline coach......

I wonder what Chaplin's been doing all these years

At least his Twitter handle is still @ooze21.

Is this unchangeable Tweeters?

Nothing is unchangeable at X.

Congrats to Adem Yze. Looks weird in yellow and black though!

All the best Adem for your Senior gig with the Tigs.

Appreciate all the great work you accomplished at the Dees as a Senior Premiership Assistant.

❤️

Brilliant player and coach, happy for Adem but sad to see him leave, congrats ooz

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.

  • GAMEDAY: Sydney

It’s Game Day, and the Demons have a golden opportunity to build on last week’s stirring win by toppling Sydney at the MCG. A victory today would keep them firmly in the hunt for a finals spot and help them stay in touch with the pack chasing a place in the Top 8. Can the Dees make it two in a row and bring down the Swans?
