white line fever 👌

I remember this at the time. I laughed because he was on the boundary line calling for the ball. The radio commentary also had a laugh

That is friggin hilarious 🤣

Ha ha I noticed that on the replay put pressure on the hawk player when he wasn’t actually on the ground I thought he was a bit cheeky but quick thinking.!!!

Cheeky, reckon it only got a fine after it went a bit viral.

Either way it shouldn't be the same fine as dacking a bloke

I counted two dackings on the weekend and I’m sure neither attracted a fine.

What a legend. 🤣

He's risen another nitch in my appreciation of him!

Very glad he didn't miscalculate and place a foot over the line.

For what it's worth, I think the fine is appropriate. If no action had been taken, players would believe they could do this with impunity. That could lead to dangerous outcomes.

If he was already warming up around the boundary line, I reckon a heckle is ok.

But running at the player like this doesn't sit right to me, as it makes it "feel" like there is an extra defender. I don't think it's appropriate.

But as said above, exposing another player on the field should be a more significant penalty than this!

Yeah I suppose the sanction is warranted, I love that he's invested though.

Agree. If left unchecked, it wouldn't be long before most bench players started lining up to scream abuse. Admire his passion though.

I’m not outraged.

A player could get duped and pass the ball, out on the full. Then the face palming that ensued could easily cause concussion, and we all know the head is sacrosanct.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
