"I haven't made my mind up about the Dees yet" so incisive

They really phoned that one in didn't they?

  • Where are the dees at? Haven't made my mind up
  • Gawn, Grundy how is that going to work. Don't know.
  • Forward line could be an issue. Might be fine. Dees fans excited about JVR.
  • Off field issues last year. i'm sure they have been sorted
  • Straight sets losses last year in finals. Will that leave scars? Probably not.

Makes me wonder what kind of microscope Barrett has.

I get the feeling that I shouldn’t bother listening to this podcast.

Always good to read footy news related to us but this is very meh. Pull ya socks up Purple.

It is low effort content, but there's a very simple part of my brain that releases dopamine's when I listen to or read MFC related news, regardless of quality! 🤪

Too early to tell; ask again in August

In 1972, Chinese premier Zhou Enlai was asked about the impact of the French Revolution. “Too early to say,”

But our forward line could be a major problem again this year.  McDonald has been poor since the middle of 2021.  Brown appears at the end and ANB and Spargo can't score.

Great article. As is another (by the same journo) linked with that one titled, “Brothers in arms: will the Gawn and Grundy experiment work?” In particular, this…

😁🥰🤩

Definitely agree that in the second half of last year we played not to lose instead of daring to win. We need to get back to being ruthless.

Barrett was commentating and standing next to Cornes who was wearing a Dees scarf after the 2021 GF. Cornes put one over Barrett who angrly pulled it off and tossed it on the ground.

I wouldnt take much notice of him.

I’m surprised fitness was summarily dismissed by Richardson. For me, we just couldn’t physical run out games in the later half of the season including the finals.

as he says, kpis measured against other clubs don't support that

this sort of article is great for the non-demonland user or non-mfc fan as it says a lot of the things being said on here last year throughout the season

Interesting that Richardson said that van Rooyen was unlikely to debut in the round 1.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
