I didn’t quite get where it came from, they just mentioned it.

This news has a bad whiff about it.

Brilliant strategy of trading in 2 players who are coming off long term injuries. If Bruce is only on our books for 1 year, then a straight swap for Tomlinson is ok. But if we extend his contract then we've lost the plot.

Bring back Josh Mahoney.

Pinch hitter with presumably salary benefits if it’s a Tomlinson swap.
Giant no deal if there is a salary impost back to Bulldogs.

Was even an option?

Feel like it was fairytale stuff..

Contrary to others this could be a master stroke. He like Tommo needs time and training to get over the ACL. Upside if he does snd good kick to Tommo with the ups and downs of Bevo.

If Bruce doesn't go well up forward  could play CHB maybe.

Interesting to see if any payment for 2 years of Tommo contact of $500,000.

Something out of nothing !!

Sounds like we will get that big fish KPF afterall

Josh Bruce and Ben Brown are the last 2 players to kick 10 goals in a game. 😉

Both have knee issues!

Our fwd line might need to trade in some of those walking frames from the Cats' mad Monday too.

Fills a need at Casey with Mitch Brown retiring.

That is what I was thinking if fit he could fill a role for us, seemed to kick a few goals for Saints and Dogs, 197cm, 97kg averages 1.5 goals perfect replacement for Mitch and has a bit of mongrel in him.

Didn't hear it myself, but pretty sure it came from a caller and Cal Twomey said something along the lines of 'have heard it, haven't been able to confirm it'.

Of course Josh Bruce could be on a  'pathfinder' mission for Naughton.

I have it on good authority that on top of the medical he was asked to answer a multiple choice question.

I'm pleased to inform D'landers that my sauce (whose identity i am unfortunately not at liberty to reveal) gave me exclusive access to the question asked which i present for your reading pleasure below...

...."You are playing a KF role starting deep in the goal square.  However, Big Maxy has decided to push forward and drop into the hole at the top of the square.  You recognise the situation (ie; too many talls/opponents).  You are also under instruction to make space for Max to be able to either make a short lead or if he has a mis-match, for him to stay home in the square for a relatively easy contested 1 v 1 mark from a dumped bomb out of the middle.

Do you"...

A)  Lead hard to the left pocket/flank (along with 1 or 2 others, including Max!) knowing you have about a 1 in 5 chance of converting should you out mark a pack of 5 to 7 players?

B)  Lead straight up the guts drawing your opponent to about 30 meters, feign as if doubling back but instead push off your opponent putting in a hard but short lead for a hit up option knowing you have a very high likelihood of converting from about 45 out either directly in front or on a slight angle?

C)  Lead hard to the right pocket/flank (along with 1 or 2 others, including Max!) knowing you have about a 1 in 5 chance of converting should you out mark a pack of 5 to 7 players?

Apparently he chose the only correct options (A & C) and they are finalising the trade papers as we speak.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
