Harsh on Spargo

On that assessment, how on earth did we kick 10 goals?

Or not lose by 15. It appears we only had 15 players after quarter time.Ā

GawnĀ - had little influence and wanted to continue to tap the ball down to his feet where the swans win the clearances!šŸ¤”

Viney -Ā disappeared after first… fumbled too much and lost his feet often šŸ¤”

Oliver - inspirational and prolific… bloody champion… kept us in the match then wore the blood and bandages of a warrior Ā Ā āļøāļøāļøāļøāļøāļø

Petracca - injured before injuryā€¦šŸš‘ yes injured … but could have kicked four goals and his lack of confidence in goalkicking is very very odd 🤮

Jackson - head was elsewhere … ffs  … he’s a champion then he’s a spud  … no footy intelligence and fumbled šŸ„”šŸ„”šŸ„”

Brown - was absolutely useless … soft tonight šŸ„”šŸ„”šŸ„”šŸ„”

Langdon - disappeared after first… great start then went wider and wider āļø

Spargo - disappeared after first… pushed aside easily … kicked one great pass and three absolute dogs šŸ’©

Brayshaw - limited by injury… love him but tonight was poor šŸ’©

Pickett - a total failure … omg lost total awareness and was chasing tails šŸ„”šŸ„”

May - one fateful mistake BUT overall was a champion Ā We would have been destroyed without him āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø

Petty - seemingly no mistakes… bloody champion and gave 100%! āļøāļøāļøāļø

Fritsch - ten minute game … was dangerous but his one miss was very poor from 25 metres out āļøāļø

Hunt - poor under pressure … but at least tackles and ran and did a lot very well Ā šŸ‘šŸ»

Neal-Bullen - tried but failed… EMBARRASSING AND JUST AWFUL … new captain fumbles šŸ„”šŸ„”šŸ„”šŸ„”šŸ„”šŸ„”6-star spud tonight award winnerĀ

Harmes - disposal was poor and tried and failed and fumbled and looked confused šŸ’©

Hibberd - needed sick bed.. bloody gave 100% and won his battles āļøāļøāļø

Sparrow - had little involvement … another NEARLY NIGHT … one good goal … he fumbles were costly šŸ„”

Salem - seemingly avoided pressure and looked unfit on occasion Ā strange to think he was nearly BOG in ā€œ21 GF … now could be dropped … terrible left foot helicopter kicks šŸ’©

Melksham - the bad Melkshy… from gold to dog-shizzen …. 3 costly missed shots when usually reliable Ā šŸ„”šŸ„”šŸ„”šŸ„”šŸ„”

Rivers - was rarely sighted- tried but failed but tried 🧐

Lever - couldn’t get involved-did his best šŸ‘šŸ»

I haven't seen a replay yet, just got home, but at the game live, it appeared buddy ran at May from a distance and May just put him on his [censored] with a solid bump. The umpire gives a free kick because buddy collapsed and we never really got that momentum back for a period longer than a few minutes after that.

Ā

Gawn endlessĀ  bad decisionsĀ

May carried the team

Petty is a champĀ

Kossie is not Flash ..is not EddieĀ  Ā is not LJĀ  ,

Melk 2 vital missesĀ

TracĀ  Dusty 80 %

Jackson left for home.

BBB 200cm 100kgs ragdollĀ

Salem ok I guess

Sydney organised and committed

MFCĀ  can't stand pressureĀ

Viney standard setting fumbles

Ollie can't fault him

Not harsh at all if we persist in playing a guy that gets 13 possesions and one lucky goal then good luck!

Spargo would have had 14 possies and 2 goals, if ANB could pass a footy 20 metres half accurately.

ANB and Melk tonight made Spargo look like Bobby Skilton.

Has Spargo ran over your cat? You have had him in the gun for a while. A lot poorer than him tonight.

My 2 word analysis

Oliver - sore backĀ

Had to carry the rest of them

Agree a lot were very very poor last night, but other than his good first quarter, he has been very poor for the last 4 games! OK answer me this, who would he get a game with if not with us? He might use the ball well, but is slow, doesnt get it enough, nor hit the scoreboard enough. Sorry but he was a lucky premiership player last year, but as an AFL standard forward just doesn't cut it for me. Just my opinion of course!

If thats a solid bump. The game is dead.

Spot on Mr.Leg. what about our second champion ruckman. Living off a quarter in a game nearly 12 months ago.Ā

Did nobody here see the footage of Buddy taking a dive after receiving the lightest of elbows to his back?

Even the commentators said there was nothing in it.Ā

I feel like I’m going insane reading so many comments about how May ā€œmade a mistakeā€.Ā

He played a blinder, and as far as I’m concerned made ZERO mistakes.Ā

The real melksham.

Foolish once.

Fool us twice.

But now your out and I wouldn't give another year.

Got a few touches late in the game and couldn't kick straight fro 20 odd m out.

Limited fwd pressure ie tackles.

No goals....one tackle.

And Bbb ...one goal....zero tackles.

Kozzie....no Gail's one tackle.

No forward pressure from these blokes at all.

Just lazy. Sad with so much to gain.

Dogga played like Franklin....already checked out.

Thanks Oliver and May for caring.

At least when Charlie gets the ball he can deliver to a teammate - if you haven’t noticed one of greatest flaws when we play poorly is an inability to connect with our forwards - Spargo is one of the few that can do this well consistentlyĀ

He isn’t perfect and I would love to see more penetration in his kicking but he will continue to play until we find others that are better at finding teammates in F50Ā

Team seemed lethargic (Gastro?)

Trac plying hurt.

BBB- Create some space.

Kozzie- Where was he?

Team - find a target.

  • NON-MFC: Round 07

Round 7 gets underway in iconic fashion with the traditional ANZAC Day blockbuster. The high-flying Magpies will be looking to solidify their spot atop the ladder, while the Bombers are desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top eight. Later that evening, Fremantle will be out to redeem themselves after a disappointing loss to the Demons, facing a hungry Adelaide side with eyes firmly set on breaking into the top four. Saturday serves up a triple-header of footy action. The Lions will be looking to consolidate their Top 2 spot as they head to Marvel Stadium to clash with the Saints. Over in Adelaide, Port Adelaide will be strong favourites at home against a struggling North Melbourne. The day wraps up with a fiery encounter in Canberra, where the Giants and Bulldogs renew their bitter rivalry. Sunday’s schedule kicks off with the Suns aiming to bounce back from their shock defeat to Richmond, taking on the out of form Swans. Then the Blues will be out to claim a major scalp when they battle the Cats at the MCG. The round finishes with a less-than-thrilling affair between Hawthorn and West Coast at Marvel. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
