Salem for Bowey or Jordan.

Got 2 weeks to think it over.

Revised changes

IN: Salem, McDonald
OUT: Bowey (stiff), ANB

Edited by adonski

Wow wee…T Mac to play as many as 3 quarters in the VFL next week  according to Ralph. Our top 30 players should all be available for the QF. Happy days.

Salem in for Cardio King ANB would be ideal, throw Bowey up forward

But likely to be Salem for Bowey

Realistically they are not going to throw Bowey forward for the first time in his career in a final, but I agree that ANB is sailing close to the wind.  Bowey would be very stiff to be dropped

I suggest it will be Bowey for Salem but it  should be no change. Salem has improved last 2 games but truthfully does not deserve to get in on form since his return.

Agree

Bowey is an obvious omission. Finals are going to be very hot and fast this year. He had momentum last year and is better for the run to start the year but anyone suggesting he is ahead of ANB or Spargo is delusional. Bowey will be around for a while but this isn't his year.

You still upset about our midfield selection this week…surely you think Harmes, Sparrow and Viney should go out?

Seems like Salem's place is shaky at best...

I'd drop Sparrow in a heart beat yeah

Whoever gave away those late goals must go out

May have cost us top 2 according to some

A suggestion Jackson hurt his knee late?

Just a 'corky' according to Goody in his presser. Can't imagine he'll have any issue getting up in two weeks time.

It all worked tonight.

salo back in probably for bowser but would be happy with no change.

Tmac playing Magoos for a couple of games you would think to get match fit then????

Salem in. Out. Has to be between Jordan and Bowey. Thaught Bowey played a good game tonite.

Sportsbet offering even money that Picket Fence calls for Spargo to be dropped

When we play good footy it's hard to make a case for many changes. Salem is arguably my favourite player but even still it's a tough call to drop bowser for him

TMac getting back is wild. Not sure who would make way for him structurally because Milkshake has done very well. Tmac as a sub could work

I wasn't that impressed with ANB tonight, particularly with the ball but I can't see him getting dropped. Works so hard.

Salo for Bowey.

Jordon was the sub so unless you intend on Salem being the sub, someone has to move from the 22 to the sub if you're dropping Jordon.

Salo for Bowey assuming Salo’s healthy and has been producing kms at training prior to this soreness.

No way am I rushing McDonald back after 3/4’s of a game.

I think there’s a bit of a different look we can go with in the midfield and half forward. Gus on the wing a little more, Harmes on ball and forward, Tracc on ball more. But some of that will depend on opponents and the venue.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #42 Aidan Johnson

The VFL premiership player was recruited from Werribee to alleviate Melbourne’s forward line woes and give a chop out in the ruck, but he managed only five senior matches in his first season at the club. At times, he was a dominant force at VFL level.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #44 Luker Kentfield

An exciting young key forward, Kentfield was selected in the 2024 mid-season draft but has yet to make his AFL debut. He was sidelined by a severe bout of pneumonia over the summer, which consequently limited his pre-season. Upon his return a month into the season, he commenced in defence but ultimately impressed with his progress at Casey, particularly in the latter part of the season as a strong marking goal kicking forward.

  • AFLW REPORT: West Coast

Melbourne’s response to last week’s heartbreak was emphatic, as the Demons delivered a statement win over West Coast at a windswept Casey Fields. All of the pre-match hype surrounded the coach’s box matchup of Mick Stinear up against his apprentice, Daisy Pearce along with the gloomy weather forecast. In the end, it was less about tactical chess and more about Melbourne’s relentless execution. With rain looming, the DeeArmy and early birds snapped up the best undercover viewing spots.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.
