Riewoldt motioned to him to stand still too…ouch!

Imagine taking two game winning marks inside 50 and playing on from both

Hahahahaha

Unfortunately doesn't really help us

Freo draw as good as a win with relative %s when compared to us

We win Tomorrow and it’s 6 points

Tomorrow night like a final for the dogs.

Am I right in thinking this is a perfect result?

Don't think so, Freo well behind on % were basically extra half a game behind so basically haven't gone backwards relative to Melbourne

Now just officially half a game behind

Marked on 50 would have had to kick from 55 or 60 out.

Yeah but you get it punched through you get the point.

What an interesting result

Great game of footy, great finish. But in reality, I feel  both teams lost it.

It is sad to see modern defensive strategy now totally dominates, while forward play and in particular kicking, is losing its vitality.

Oh the humanity of everyone's reactions on the siren with that draw. How could you want to remove that from the game?

Hopefully that game bashed that crap out of Freo

Hopefully we can avoid this sort of intensity against the Dogs.

That's right and beat Freo it becomes 10 and unlikely to catch us.

Yes

But if freo had won, and we win tomorrow it would be 4 pts and 12% (as good as 6 pts)

But they didn’t win. So it is a good result

Not if the punch pushes it froward - yes if touched on the way through.

Hahahahaha

Imagine doing it two weeks in a row!

The Dogs now have a top 8 spot in their grasp.

Another step closer to doing a Richmondy?

Freo had the majority of the play in last quarter and blew it. They seem incapable of kicking goals. Richmond are just inaccurate.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
