Sorry its late Demonlanders but had a few things on so I'll get straight to the main points

  • If Clarry plays on Sunday it will be the greatest feat since that bloke from Galilee allegedly walked on water a couple of thousand years ago. He performed a fitness test of sorts but clearly did not want to use his injured hand.
  • Harrison Petty and Bailey Laurie were NO SHOWS at training
  • I think Daniel Turner came of second best in a match sim and took no further part in training, I say  think coz I was a bit far away. If it was him then another piece of bad luck.
  • T Mac was in rehab and did a few light drills and could return within expected time frames
  • Joel Smith Likewise was involved in some match sims and then completed run throughs. He did have a slight limp though
  • If Petty misses Tomlinson looks likely
  • Hard to get a line of who of Weeds, Mitch Brown gets the call up. I don't think Van Rooyen is in the frame. Weeds was bustled out of a few contests, but Mitch Brown kicked a couple with some clever play. I reckon Max will play quite a bit up forward
  • Dunstan WAS part of main Mids group
  • Chandler slipped a few times coughing ball up to his eternal frustration
  • Best  trainers were Jack Viney, Trac, Dogga, Langers AND Nibbler. Spirited session for the most part and selection will be interesting
  • One other thing. Reporters were teaming in the ground today but do you reckon the Fence was any chance to get in. Nar no way known!
  • GO DEES  Best to all P.F

FMD now Petty!😱  And 🪩 again?  Can’t take a trick

Clearly the curse was only temporarily exorcised last September, and a full exorcism at the G is needed this September.  Nothing less will do.

Very Surprised that Melksham and Chandler were included! Also surprised Bedford and Spargo hold their places but no, HUNT!!

Weideman this surely would be "Last Chance Hotel" would much have prefered Mitch Brown!

Hi Pickett, very much enjoy your training notes, any thoughts on why Dogga was holding up two fingers in the first training piccy.

Signed for 2 decades

So good to get a training report, you are a DL legend Picket!

The photos of the training  show them all in heavy tops.  They will not need it Up in NT

i thought the Weid looked trim and with a correct ball drop, though I don’t know why the other hand was up in the air. Perhaps to cheer the goal. Bring your best on Sunday please,

Very nice work (again) PF thanks mate.

Surely there's someone on here who has a background in forging fake press passes.  Get on it D'landers!

Heard of three dog night? Central Australia in July can plummet below freezing just before dawn.

Yes, but as Jeremiah the Bullfrog always said,  One is the loneliest number.

Weather Bureau forecast for Alice Springs on Sunday is a minimum overnight of zero followed by a sunny day with a maximum of 24 degrees. Should be a stunning day.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

It seems like only yesterday that these two sides faced off against each other in the centre of the continent. It was when Melbourne was experiencing a rare period of success with five wins from its previous six matches including victories over both of last year’s grand finalists.  Well, it wasn’t yesterday but it was early last month and it remains etched clearly in the memory. The Saints were going through a slump and the predicted outcome of their encounter at TIO Traeger Park was a virtual no-brainer. A Melbourne victory and another step closer to a possible rise into finals contention. Something that was unthinkable after opening the season with five straight defeats.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.
