No change - emergency list looks like a seniors day out.

Mind blowing selections.😁

I suspect this is the first 'no change' for Season 2022.

Don't understand how Mitch Brown is one of the emergencies when he was tried for 2 games and was found wanting.

Should have signs on their backs - “ If looking lost return to Casey “

The emergency list is interesting. I guess the club has figured on interstate travel it’s more important for younger players to get game time and learn structures at Casey than jump on a plane and essentially do nothing.

And they might be rewarding Mitch Brown for his game last week, and Melksham for keeping May sharp?

Hunt the sub i’d think.

Edited by The heart beats true

Could see them taking Tomlinson and Hunt to Adelaide with Brown and Melksham staying in Melbourne and playing for Casey.

Rewarding VFL form as he kicked 6 goals last week. Good for club culture to reward or at least acknowledge hard work and decent form.

No change??? FMD. Are we still persisting with that Oliver bloke?

Coaches pet. Goodwin has never coached a Demon game without including Oliver. Maybe never will.

No Dogga, cupboard is bare for rucks for this one have the spare parts players in there….hopefully doesn’t matter too much

I’m hearing Late change: Dogga out with pcl strain

M Brown in.

Because he is playing now that Jackson is out!

So the team is announced at around 6:30pm and three hours later, a player’s out injured. How does that work?

Slipped over walking to his kitchen table to sign his new contract.

Contract now being put on hold..

Anyway, on a more serious note.. what's Pedo up to these days??

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

Salem proved to be a valuable contributor as a reliable and solid one-on-one medium-sized defender in what was undoubtedly his most impressive season since the premiership year. He remains a highly capable rebounding option for the Demons as he approaches his 200th game at the club.
