In the unlikely event that Melbourne don't win the flag this year, who would you like to see as Premiers?

I've only included those teams that I think still have a chance at this stage of the season.

My preference would be Fremantle because they've never won one, followed by Gold Coast then Brisbane.

I won’t remain anonymous.
Quite sure I’ll be alone in my choice and I’ve boldly declared my second team before, so… join the dots! 😃

I'd personally only want the Saints to win a Granny as I know how many tears I shed whilst watching replays, interviews with past and present players the live game and the many docos that came after we won. Everyone else can let me put it mildly. SABFD. Especially the interstate teams.

Technically, that means that if our preferred alternate premier beats us in the GF, we will be happy.😒

I DON'T THINK SO!

Lions for mine.  Like Fagan and remember attending Fitzroy's last finals series back in 86 with some Lions supporting mates.  Be happy to see them take the choccies if it isn't us.

Voted for Brisbane - I find Fagan likeable. F Freo - 2 team state with ludicrous facilities etc. - happy for them to remain flagless.

St Kilda would have had my vote, as we can relate to their supporters' pain at their premiership drought, but not for a couple of years so it gets beyond our 57 years of pain.

Geez, I thought I’d picked an unpopular team… someone’s picked Geelong!

Must have been Jaded… have to say, it is still ours to lose i am not ready to concede anything, I would personally like to beat Collingwood in the GF.

Absolutely none of them. However I did give a vote and  it was for the saints.

Gold Coast Suns. Particularly if they beat a VIC side such as Geelong or Collingwood.

GC are the side that least bothers me and Melbourne would be a ghost town on GF night.

Freo, i used to play for a Dockers and we had a partnership with freo, playing an annual east west game with their east perth reserve side's juniors at the time and the players would give us a clinic after a melbourne weekend game the following morning.

followed by the blues - controversial but my mum and auntie's side

and the suns coz it would be phenominal for them and my two buddies up there ;)

lastly the lions coz i don't know any supporters so it would'nt stir me up

Pfft Imagine liking the blues.

WCW your posts are normally so good and quite funny and then you go and blow all your good work by fessing up a few times on Demonland that Carlton are your second team 🤮. I just don’t know how anybody can have that arrogant club as their second team, my sister and niece are fanatical Carlton supporters and I still hate that Club. But each to their own, keep up the good work.

I don't think I could handle the build up to that game. Of all the teams, I would hate losing the GF to them most of all. My heart would give out before the first bounce

Sainters because i can relate to their pain.

Cast my vote for Freo and I forgot about St Kilda. I'd like them to win one soon but I SO don't want them challenging while we're at/near the top and  taking the 'neutral' crowd from us. I think in a GF we might still be 'neutral' favourites against anyone except the Saints
Once we've won 3 or 4 that wouldn't be the case and I wouldn't care any more ayway.

I want all 17 Clubs to be in pain

I have seen too many opposition Clubs win flags. If we Fail to defend our Status i will have no interest at all

As long as Richmond don’t win. Their nuffy supporters will say that Melbourne only won in 2021 because of all the injuries Richmond had.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
