Can mitch cleary get suspended for a week for that egregious misuse of the hyphen in "one-match"?

If he was going to drink while injured he should have just done it at home - ALONE!!

This sucks. Seems the clubs lost its way a hit this year and the standards we had in 2021 have slipped. I reckon it’s rubbish Mays out, should’ve been a fine or community service type punishment. Now it’ll impact the team and we’ll continue to struggle.

Mark us down for losses to Pies and Lions. We’re in poor form and now missing key personnel for even longer. Here’s hoping May comes back and repays us onfield and we can get back on track leading into finals.

Very disappointing actions from former captain Jake Melksham. He should receive a lifetime ban

His last two games probably took care of that.

When it rains… I understand why they suspended him but this could very well cost us a win we can’t afford.
I need a week off footy I think.

There is a four lettered word that contains the word “log” that sums up May right now.

Seriously one dumb individual.

Is this necessary????

There’s a five lettered word that also sums up May. H-U-M-A-N

Just give the bloke a fine, not suspend him

Hurts the team more than the player.

I'm all for doing the right thing off the field but would we suspend him on the eve of a GF?

Is the QB match a GF?

Absolutely have to suspend him. MFC has worked so hard to build standards and culture and by not suspending him will just undo all of that.

So much for a quiet Tuesday, was Melksham the only bloke to tell May he shouldn’t be drinking under protocols.

Oh FFS...

This is incredibly dumb by Steven May. If he knew about the protocols of not drinking while under the concussion rule then its stupid by him.

Watch Mason Cox kick 5 now.

Of course he knew the protocols. Even dumber to go out in public and drink. Then to have that much that you can't control yourself

He was only at the pub for his blog?

Mays a repeat offender.

Punishing the team for an individuals behaviour.

It’s called setting standards

And yet DeGoey lands himself in a New York clink and Collingwood don't suspend him from any games.

And there's the difference in culture.

Thank god for ours.

It's 2022. Someone will be in possession of a phone that has the "scuffle" on video. Lets see if Mick Warner really does have the inside info on the Dees.

Yeah he is human  and this is dumb.    Have the week off  to reflect and then come back guns blazing.   He has been a  fantastic servant  for the club over last 2 years.  I still love him....   do the week move on.

We can still beat the pies  but its going to be hard  very hard     We will lift  I trust (hope)

Idiots. This season is coming off the tracks at a rapid pace.

What a load of rubbish! The Season is still well and truly on track

Good.

We are pretenders if we are incapable of winning without one player. Players and or strategy need to adapt.

Right call by the club.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
