I’m in Fiji currently and am considering a weekly sub to WatchAFL to watch it but all the reviews I’ve read bemoan the quality of the stream. Can anyone confirm whether it’s worth it?

It was fine for me while I was in NZ a couple of weeks ago.

Unless we lose a quarter, will win by 8 goals+ I reckon. Depends entirely on Eagles effort. If they’ve genuinely checked out, it’ll get ugly.

I had a similar experience in round 13 2014. I was also in Fiji.

Essendon vs Demons. Game was superclose. My connection came back for 30seconds as I watched the ball move from half back, up to Salem who marked 20meters out.

Connection goes down again and I know it's going to take 3 minutes to buffer again but I didn't care. I knew Salem was a good kick and would kick it.

I was in New York for that match and had to get up at 3 or 4am to watch it in the hotel bathroom so I wouldn’t wake my wife. I ended up walking the entire floor of the hotel. WatchAFL worked fine.

All I want is the four points.

And an extra 20 percentage points.

Last year vs Crows thinking pre game couldn’t lose, agree to happily bank the 4 points vs Eagles!

Salem to come back soon, Bedford playing well plus Tomlinson, Weideman and Dunstan in VFL should be sufficient pressure for a strong effort and solid win today.

RIP Andrew Symonds, another person gone far to early. While not anywhere near in the Warne status probably the best fielder I have ever seen play cricket.

Greetings from Vung Tau, Vietnam.
No quality issues on older iPhone.

Terribly sad.  A brilliant cricketer.  Loved watching him take the game on.  And just amazing in the field.

Well worth it as long as the internet stacks  up.

Hey, where's everyone watching today's match?

I'm going to The Sporting Globe in Richmond. If anyone else is going there, I'm the bloke wearing the Demons cap !!   😉

He died in a car crash. Only 46yo. Absolute tragedy. 💔

RIP Roy 💕

This might have been the most relaxing week as a Melbourne supporter I've ever had. This coming week would have been too but will now be offset by a Europa League final taking place in Seville early on Thursday morning. It's a gorgeous autumnal day so I might take the short train ride down to Arden Street to watch the magoos before the main event starts.

I'm on clearance watch for Oliver. Surely he can rack up 14-15?

We are so many leagues ahead it's not funny

We will play forward half footy and they will stand no chance

I expect nothing more the belting - we showed good score board pressure in the first against the saints and I'd love to see that for 4qts today

Does anyone reckon that bloke who snuck into Perth for the GF is going today? He won't have to go to jail this time.

I still have nightmares of the feeble capitulation to the EssUndone VFL side a few years back.
I actually found it hard to take our team seriously for the next 12 months or so.
Guys - please don’t let that happen    My MFCSS could become terminal.

Indeed .. I also remember when the Swans were on a losing streak of about 30 matches ... guess who they had a win against to break that streak? To make matters worse, I was at that match!!

PS.  I was also at the loss v Essendon VFL side.

Eagles will not play with much of a gameplan and will likely try to own the corridor not to mention pack our forward 50.

Could be a frustrating game but hopefully not

The Control crew have made our way over to Perth. Its a nice sunny morning here with a few clouds around, good day to dish out some sweet revenge.

I don't think I can be bothered watching today's match and same goes for North next week. I'd rather go to an open training session which I expect will be more competitive.

No MFCSS here!

Yes, that 2014 Ess game was a nightmare but this isn't that team.   It was light years away from where we are now.

The whole WCE club has thrown in the towel:  They are officially using the 'R' word chairman-s-message

Dees by 6-8 goals.

If we use 6-6-6 to our advantage and bang bang bang <repeat repeatedly> then they won’t get a chance to pack the backline.

He is probably on a watch list at perth airport

Hard to resist the 17:1 Eagles.

This "WAFL side" contains Kennedy, Darling, McGovern, Cripps, Ryan , Barrass, Shuey.

I can't help but worry.

I have MFCSS.

If you really want to take a chance take the $4.50 for Melbourne to win by under 40 points. You don't see that too often $1.12 for over 40 points and $4.50 for under.

Started work early so I could make the matinee down at John Foord Oval with Corowa taking on Yarrawonga. Despite Corowas improvement (only falling 2 points shirt of Albury, and should have won on expected score) I think Yarra will be to tough an ask.

Leg of lamb on the rotisserie and a fat cuban I'll be round in the forward pocket scoreboard end if anyone's hungry.

G'day from Wahgunyah 😉
We're not talking footy over here 😂

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
