Is anyone else appalled by the umpiring tonight?... 🤷‍♂️

It’s atrocious, got no idea what they are doing!

I know we bang on this a lot, however the Ch 7 boys club is absolutely excruciating. You wonder whether they actually review what they say. The clown BT still has not written Collingwood off - 35 points with 8 minutes go.

I've only tuned in for thr last quarter.

Is there a reason the Filth supporters are booing Khamis every time he goes near it, or are they just trying to put a cherry on top of racism week?

Was it pies booing or the doggies fan supporting him? Similar to our fans yelling out oooooze, I couldn't tell.

BT is probably the worst commentator going around at the moment.  His sidekick JB isn't far behind.

And why does Channel 7 insist on three special comments ppl?  One person talking drivel after every other contest is more than enough surely?

He was being booed, no doubt about it

Did something happen earlier in the game? I only saw the last 5 minutes.

They weren’t boos by Collingwood supporters.
It was the Dogs supporters cheering on a  potential cult figure in Khamis.

Really hoping the Suns can pull off another upset in Ballarat next week and release a bit of air in the Dogs tyres.

He kicked some Goals

The Filth just reacted in their normal way

His 1st name is Buku.
BooKoooo !!

Dogs have a run of winnable games so they will be in finals contention. It's between them and the Tioges for 8th spot

The rest of the season:

Port have as good a chance as Bulldogs if they beat North today and get a decent % boost.

But for mine, the Tigers have it sown up.

From 'The Age' this morning ...

From Bruuuuce to Buuuu

Josh Bruce’s season-long absence has caused a headache for Luke Beveridge’s match committee this year and prevented Bulldogs fans from affectionately growling “Bruuuuce” whenever the key forward touches the ball.

They may have found a replacement in Buku Khamis, who was greeted by a baritone cry of “Buuuu” when the Sherrin was kicked in his direction. Khamis kept them busy with three goals. If he holds his form, he can solve one of Beveridge’s key issues and give Dogs fans something to crow about.

You know how for some reason you love watching a certain player, even though they are at another club? For example I love both Heeney and Kennedy from the Swans, Pendlebury at the Pies, and in the past enjoyed Quinlan from Fitzroy, Dempsey, Glendinning, Peter Matera, etc...

Khamis at the Bulldogs is just wonderful to watch. Star in the making. He has a magnificent leap, marks the ball at the highest point and his 2nd efforts are aggressive. Love seeing great young players emerge.

Dwayne, Derm and Dal Santo possibly the worst commentary team ever.

Especially Brereton… Zak Butters almost takes someone’s head off and Brereton laughs and says (endearingly) how passionate and tough Butters is. Once a thug etc.

I'm going to admit I was a little disappointed when frost left us, but when I see him drop a couple of sitters today I think gee I'm glad we've got May and Lever now

You guys watching the North game? We have a ripper at the G.

Absolutely!! My ear drums burn every time I hear Dwayne’s voice. Everyone is a superstar according to him.

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?

  • FEATURE: 1925

A hundred years ago today, on 2 May 1925, Melbourne kicked off the new season with a 47 point victory over St Kilda to take top place on the VFL ladder after the opening round of the new season.  Top place was a relatively unknown position for the team then known as the “Fuchsias.” They had finished last in 1923 and rose by only one place in the following year although the final home and away round heralded a promise of things to come when they surprised the eventual premiers Essendon. That victory set the stage for more improvement and it came rapidly. In this series, I will tell the story of how the 1925 season unfolded for the Melbourne Football Club and how it made the VFL finals for the first time in a decade on the way to the ultimate triumph a year later.
