Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Some holes appearing in the Swans game. Really struggling to score, and too easy for opposition to rebound out of their forward 50. They need a couple of small defensive forwards to help keep the ball down their end.

I think Casboult has been outstanding for the Suns. His kicking might still not be great, but he keeps on presenting and is such a good mark.

Problem is they get right on the edge about to explode and be raided again by Victorian clubs.

That's fixable though, Brisbane were in the same boat not so long ago, winning games really helps with retention.

I would imagine the AFL will move heaven and earth to get Clarko to the Suns, if he can convince a couple of quality veterans to go there and retain their out of contract kids, i'd nearly back them to push for finals in 2023

That is a very good win by the suns.

Now we just have to win tomorrow and we will be 3 games clear ahead of sydney.

Collingwood fall out of the 8

Now just need the hawks to put more misery on the bummers and it will be a good day.

Nice touch for the players to acknowledge the eight supporters that travelled down from Surfers.

One thing that I really noticed in the Port win was their kicking to a leading forward inside 50. I think they had nearly 20 inside 50 marks. It's something that Melbourne has really lost. We kick long to à big pack and rely on Ben browns reach. Would love to see us delivering to a leading forward out in front. I don't think it's our forwards. All of our forwards are capable of a strong lead. I watch and they just hold back and wait for the long bomb. Probably why our forwards aren't kicking bags atm. Thoughts?

All our taller forwards can mark and kick but their leading patterns are all [censored] about at the moment.
Keeping something up our sleeves for finals?🙄

I excluded him from my head count Picket. Incidentally his dog has a coterie membership at Hawthorn.

Swans  having a forward line revolving around Franklin is starting to look like a mill stone around their neck.

Yeh i agree they looked better earlier in the season taking multiple avenues to goal.   Become a bit predictable when Buddy's in.

That free kick to Hogan was ridiculous. No contact, or minimal at best.

Why don't the commentators call it?

LEADERS OF THE PACK by The Oracle

I was asked to write a preview of this week’s Round 8 match between Melbourne and Geelong. The two clubs have a history that goes right back to the time when the game was starting to become an organised sport but it’s the present that makes the task of previewing this contest so interesting. Both clubs recently reached the pinnacle of the competition winning premiership flags in 2021 and 2022 respectively, but before the start of this season, many good judges felt their time had passed - n

    TRAINING: Monday 29th April 2024

Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin was on hand at Gosch's Paddock for Monday's training session and made the following observations. About 38 to 40  players down at training.  BBB walking laps.  Charlie Spargo still in rehab, doing short run throughs.  Christian Salem has full kit on and doing individual work with a trainer. He is is starting to get into some sprints. I cannot see Andy Moniz-Wakefield out there. Jack Viney and Kade Chandler have broken away from the

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to
