I didn't see you had posted in a similar vein earlier. Definately have been reading it as KYE-NAN for the past 18 months, so it surprised me on the video when it was pronounced KEE-NAN. My neighbours boys name is that, and definitely Irish stock.

On the video posted by @dazzledavey36 on the previous page, the commentators are calling him Ky - nan.

I propose we just stick with "puppy" or "pup" to his mates.

Speaking demon bloodlines, I read there's a young Alfie Rowley playing for the Vic U12 team. Grandson of the great RDB.

Can we start lobbying for a new grandfather/grandson rule? After all, they adapted the rules years ago for RDB himself!

Kynan is making his debut for Casey this weekend. Will be good to see him in action.

Somehow wasn't even nommed for the State combine despite i believe it being only a 3+ club noms to be invited. i think its 5 nominations for naitonal combine, 3 for state combine, maybe he'll be added post season as that does happen too but surely hes not another Emile-Brennan who is completely off our radar

Vaguely recall someone mentioning that F/S's don't necessarily go to the combines. Not sure on that though

Pretty sure Nick Daicos attended the draft combine?

Think you might be right, dazzle. Maybe I got my wires crossed

not sure why we wouldn't want him to test so we can see how he compares and so we can see which clubs might be interested in an interview and maybe in nominating him so we can get our ducks in order

Saw a post that Kynan Brown won Vic Metros best and fairest award. Can anyone confirm?

Though he’s small, looks like we might be getting a decent talent with a late pick. He’s a very hard worker and hopefully can make it in the red and blue!

He was picked by the team’s coaches as Vic Metro’s best player in the National Championships.

Jeez that will send his price up surely.!!!

Would he be a suitable replacement for Jack in a few years? Ive never seen him play, but understand he is good in and under. If he has any of the mongrel his old man did, i think that would be super.

He’s break in to bits if he played like Viney

He’s small and skinny and kicks it about 30 metres. But his heart is huge. Tenacious.  Determination. Hard working. They are the words used to describe his style of play. I’d like to use a pick in 4th round or rookie pick if we can. Definitely like to see him given the chance. He’s got the heart to make it.

Wonder if the club thinks he has enough elite traits to make it?

The want and willingness is obviously there. If he wasn't Doggy's son would he even be considered?

Need to see more but so far I haven't been wowed. Wouldn't go higher than late 3rd at this stage.

Especially with those years he spent at San Quentin… maybe 5th rounder

Rookie pick if he’s lucky.

Winning the Vic Metro BnF would probably get him a chance on someones list but your right we may have taken the punt on 1/20 guys if he wasn't F/S

He reads like a Nibbler role succession plan.

That’s what I was thinking.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
