The Day History was Made

This will never, ever get old.

Deserves its own thread

Bloody hell. This is the second day in a row where I thought I could make it through an entire day without crying. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

That was bloody awesome!

I just found it on YouTube so I could watch it on the big screen. It’s under “Game Film | It’s Coming Home”

Ooooh I love it when a new piece of footage drops. It's a pity they had to spoil it with the Bulldogs goals but I guess they had to give some context up to the point just before we obliterated them.

I couldn't stop smiling watching that video. Had a bit of a tear in my eye at the end when you see Simon Goodwin and Max Gawn hold up the Premiership cup!

Just a warm and wonderful feeling knowing that we are finally Premiers in 2021. It has certainly been a long time between drinks since 1964.

I am quietly confident the Demons can win more Premierships in the near future. But this time at our ancestral home the MCG!

Am I the only person who kept thinking of Eddie Murphy every time BT and Brayshaw call Naughton’s name?

That was great except two changes I would have made:

1) Too much focus was on the Bulldogs and their small run on

2) Every Melbourne goal should be shown

Also, hilarious that they edited BT’s  awful call on the final siren of “every heart is beating true and blue for the red and blue” to just “every heart is bearing true for the red and blue”.

Just when do the tears stop. Never cried so much in my life. It just meant so much to me. Decades of crap from friends.

GO DEE'S

I was particularly moved with the vision of John Stanaway on the sidelines - there are so many unsung heroes as well.

Hopefully something comes out with more background footage a

I cannot get enough of this fantastic material just love every second of this history making footage. It is awesome keep it coming MFC.💕❤️💙

Question, how many times have you watched the GF replay? I cant get enough of it. After the GF I stood out side on the front lawn yelling as loud as I could for the mighty DEES, all the while crying.

I think all of Pakenham heard me.

This is brilliant. I wouldn’t change a thing about that edit. We looked in all sorts mid way through the 3rd.

Goodwin ‘Believe in the fitness you’ve got’.

Unbelievable.

Midway thru the 3rd quarter what ever was said at Half Time was history the players on the field had to draw on their own intestinal fortitude and perform, watch how Oliver then decided to tag Bontempelli and look at Jackson, Harmes Petracca and Viney they realised that their dream was going unless they do something and do it soon.

The champion teams of the past always lifted when the result was in doubt, see Preliminary Finals Hawthorn v's Cats 2013, Port in 2014 both match hung in the balance.

Nah, it’s a significant part of the story. Who at the time DIDN’T think we were in all sorts? Watching that part of the clip gave me a slightly sick feeling, just enough to remind me of the overwhelming despair I experienced at the time when they looked to be running over the top of us.

True, it but it makes up almost half the video and they skipped over crucial goals like Brayshaw’s (just the still shots).

“Pants Off Australia”

So I am sitting in the local coffee shop - you know the one, where the oldies turn up for a smile, cheery hello and coffee.

Pants Off Australia?

I look at the ladies behind the counter which gets me thinking : I can make the ladies laugh, make them cry, but pants off, No.

Pants Off Australia?

I look at the friendly chap at the next table; he seems to have an outbreak of barnacles....Pants off I hope not.

Pants Off Australia?

Perhaps it is political, some very very late news of Malcolm Fraser....

Ok, I give up perhaps Australia has won the hosting rights to the next Sexual Olympics.....Pants Off Australia.
