    Well it's a simple equation for here. If the club is as good as we want to believe they are, they can wrangle this back.

    Half time couldn't come quick enough. Defensively at sea as soon as the ball hits the deck, beaten around the ball and the Bont showing his class. On ball brigade need to lift otherwise we're cactus. 

    We're re-set before and can do so again. Huge third quarter coming up. We can do this

    Fritsch has been poor the whole finals series. His kicking inside 50 has been shaky, keeps trying a kick running parallel to the goals and has missed it multiple times.

    Why didn't we even see a review of that? It looked like a goal on the broadcast. Very confusing.

    Nothing to do with Goodwin, all on the forwards who are actually out on the field. Forward pressure is supposed to be one of our strengths.

    I feel sick right now. I just hope we can get our game together, the system has worked and can work again but we do need to stop the quick ball supply into their 50. 

    And when we get it we must lock it in our 50. When we do that and get a look at goal, take it. Come on Demons, it is not over until it is over.

    They don't have the camera angles to review that kind of goal. The camera angle we saw is just in the wrong spot.

    Naughton clearly ran behind play and cut off Viney.

    We need to be better than this and account for their tactics. How did they not study this?

We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.

      We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

    • REPORT: Hawthorn

      The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there.When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

      The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
