PF: Port Adelaide vs Bulldogs

Featured Replies

First 20 minutes Port second to the ball, absolutely no tackling pressure really poor by them. Note Dogs need speed on the ball, need to slow the game down when required.

There have been a lot of posts after our win about having the flag in the bag.

Put the lid back on.

The way the Dogs are playing tonight, and with a week off after this, we have a massive challenge ahead.

Port fans booing their own team. 🤣

...they always find something to boo

The one team i did not want to face, the bulldogs...

To be the best you have to beat them i suppose.

Choked in 1st quarter, unbelievable! That's why I always want us to play PA. If WB won, have 2 weeks break, they will be a force.

Tarps out by half time at this rate.

Meh, Port haven’t been a top 4 side all year, and now they are proving it on the big stage.

Stole the game against the dogs and beat a Geelong team that most likely had a virus that week. Only beaten down the ladder teams out side of those two. Still expected a lot more from them tonight.

Dogs are the worst possible grand final opponent. Best midfield in the competition and the only side that has beaten us this year.

Agree. They will get the week off, which negates the finishing bottom half of the 8. Hope Port can come back from here, otherwise we have a hell of a fight on our hands.

We are going to have to be razor sharp in a fortnight.

Port would have to be the biggest front runners under Ken Hinkleys time as coach. Happy to beat up the mid to bottom teams but absolutely choke when facing elite sides.

Midfield of dogs is so on top. Ridiculous really. Port look like they have a choke again but it is only quarter time and I am not writing them off yet.

Like I said, Dogs have/are riding a wave of emotion. Game, recover, travel, train, game.

2 weeks off may disrupt this, give them time to stop and stick their heads up and disrupt this.

Dogs and Dees GF is a fair result given we were both in the top 2 together for 16 of 23 weeks.

I made a poor call taking up Port during the week.

Come on Port, do the right thing by us and GO THE BIFF!

Powder Puff Port.

The midfield battle v the dogs in the gf is going to be huge. whoever wins it, wins the flag

Port really snuck into second with a soft draw didn't they

Haha how is that a free against Martin in the ruck as a block?! He literally didn’t touch Lycett.

IF Bulldogs win this it will be they who benefit from the pre GF bye I reckon.

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

  • PREGAME: St. Kilda

With just over two weeks until their opening match of the 2026 AFL Premiership season, the Demons are already well on the path to redemption and have the Saints firmly in their sights ahead of their mid-March clash at the MCG. What do you think the team will look like when they run out on to the G?

  • REPORT: Richmond

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.

The Dees ran another clinic for the second week in a row as they easily accounted for the Tigers in the lightning interrupted shortened match at Mars Stadium in Ballarat.

Kozzy Pickett was the man of the match last week and has a vote lead over backup ruck Max Heath who didn't play this week and 5 votes over former Saint Jack Steele. Who gets the votes in this weeks shortened match win over the Tigers? Your votes please. 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 & 1.

It's Game Day and the 2026 AFL Premiership season is almost upon us as the Demons take to the field for their final practice match before the first ball is kicked in anger in 16 days time. What are you expecting to see from the Dees today as they take on the Tigers at Mars Stadium in Ballarat?
