Gonna be a tough one, just want to see we can dig deep and smile at the end of game. Go Dees!

I’m nervous

Poor form, fly in fly out, the Suns showing some ticker recently. It will not be easy

But if we kick 12 goals i think we’ll win. Step forward BB

And I hope as many of our Queensland based brethren as possible can get along to the game to support the boys, and fingers crossed enjoy a Win

Big game in the context of our season. The sun's list is full of talent and will certainly take it up to us. Can easily see this game being close for 3 qtrs until we break away to win by 4 goals in the last.

Looking forward to seeing Jake Bowey out there. They say a first-gamer always perks a team up, so hope that's the case.

This will say a lot.

The cards are being stacked against us for sure, but good teams overcome adversity.

I’d say 2 out of 4 wins will see us in the top 4. Let’s make a start on that equation today.

Demons by 8 points.

Going to be a slog. The travel up on game day is one factor. Remember Maxy Gawn on an RSN interview said he personally struggled with this.

Huge must win game.

Is it going to be clear? When was the last time we played on a nice clear day and let our skills shine? (Pardon the pun)

The better side wins today, r points and move on. Let's start building towards a finals campaign. Gawn full time ruck, Trac and Clarry I'm the middle, Gus back tia wing, pork ribs on the smoker... Back to normal you know?

Oh to be able to kick 18.4 like the  Blues did last night! That’d be awesome. Provided the Suns kick 18.3 or less, that is.
Them kicking 3.18 would be even better!

Forgot to wish ill on the Suns.

Not sure what’s wrong with me but I feel strangely confident we will win and win convincingly.

If Carlton can kick 18 what does that tell you?

Managed to snag one of the few tables at The Rose to watch this one. Don’t know how they’re going to accommodate so many overlapping games to be honest. Like everyone else I have no idea which version of Melbourne  will show up today but I’d feel sick to my stomach if we throw away another opportunity.

Good kicking is good football

Best thing for a 'unified' team that has looked anything but for a month is a road trip.

This part of the season could potentially end up a blessing, but it's Melbourne so who knows.

Miracles can happen!

A magnificent morning on the Gold Coast. Bone dry and not a cloud in the sky.  Very suitable for tall, marking forwards and very quick smalls to impact the scoreboard.

King, Ainsworth and Sexton to have a field day then  ?

I think we lose. Really hope that’s not the case.

Thank God Rankine is out or we could slot him in for 6!

I think we would need to win 3 to finish top 4. Win 2 and I have us finishing 5th or even 6th

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
