Wait, you mean I can stop running because my hair isn't on fire after all?

Excellent outcome. Hopefully the day we wrap up a top 4 spot.

Right on. McGuire Media strikes again

I wonder whether Nasher can add some Prozac to the Demonland software servers? I'm just about ready to slash my wrists, not because of the MFC situation, but because there are so many "woe-are-us" posters on this site spreading misery like it's a delta strain!

It is called jumping at shadows, we are all starting to get a bit paranoid because of our previous poor treatment and fixturing . Listening to Gus, Gawny and Tracc today they are all up and about and looking forward to the last four games, we should to.

Go Dees. !!!!!!!!!

It seemed to work for the New Zealand cricket team.  They once were worriers.

Well, that was an interesting thread…

Lot of demonlanders looking for an easy excuse to ‘excuse’ the team falling off a cliff 2004 style…

No, the fixture is not an excuse, no COVID isn’t either, training loads 6 weeks ago are not either…

Yeah, not excuses, but aside from flipping open the 'Is Goodwin the right guy' thread, are there any legitimate reasons?

Glad to hear that it was all bulls***, would be nice if reporters actually reported news rather than starting rumours.

This is not an ideal lead in to finals if true, the supporters definitely have PTSD from what happened in Darwin last season...

What did happen???

Its in the Fixture page details fro Round 22

that's a placeholder. no round 22 games have been confirmed. all matches are subject to change until the league locks them in and confirms.

Yes, of course, Lever gets injured. Petracca’s form continues to nose dive, the forwardline remains schizophrenic and messy.

These are reasons why we may not get to the mountain top.

But they are all within our control, which is always the hardest for us to compute - the FD, the team, the leaders, Goodwin - they hold their fate in their own hands and that is a scary proposition for a group that’s always had good excuses.

No, but that won't stop the panic attacks, the usual suspects go off half cocked on rumors and spit all type of vitriol at the club.

Pfft, damn humans and their feelings and their passion and their unrivalled, unbridled love for  the Dees. What can ya do?! ?

Why would you speak to the club. Wouldn’t it have been better to be a regular Demonland Chicken Little and run with the media’s unconfirmed report as gospel.

You could have accused the club of

a) Being irrelevant

b) Bowing to the AFL

c) Putting money before top 4 chances

d) Stuffing the season up all together

No doubt none of these posters will ever jump at shadows again

That was Cairns.

Please know The Dee-sasters.

If cases behave themselves, we should finally get back to the G with 25,000 capacity.

If Andrews has designs on keeping the 2021 grand final, he's going to have to let crowds in by the second last round of the year or the AFL's going to Perth. Pure and simple.

This will completely throw away any chance of Dees fans getting to see them play live in Melbourne before the start of finals. I know crowds are going to be a slow burn anyway but hardly a fan friendly decision. I totally get the reasons behind it, the club has taken a tough hit on our bank accounts but it still isn’t a great look for a club that’s pushing for premiership contention.

Good reason for as many as possible to show support at Geelong

I know it’s not the clubs fault all this Covid manure however, the Victorian government can go f….k itself.  I’m so over this nonsense of no football games and more money wasted.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
